Daytime dining is available between 12noon - 5pm, and our Bistro and A La Carte options are available between 18:30 - 20:30 in the evening.

Please note that use of Garden Spa will incur an additional charge of £25, per person.

Please note that there is a smart casual dress code when fine dining at the hotels 2 AA Rosette Restaurant. Shorts, trainers or men's sandals are not permitted. Alternatively, the Bistro 1871 offers a much more relaxed and informal style of dining.

Pros:

Spa and staff are great!

Cons:

Room was a standard double in the outer building.
I had two terrible nights sleep due to the rooms not being fit for purpose as hotel rooms. I could hear both rooms use the toilet. There was a bathroom fan noise throughout the whole night. The bed was uncomfortable. The front entrance was dirty. The mirror in the bathroom was all tarnished and just generally looked scruffy.

Superb country location, excellent views of the countryside and a touch of history.
Pros:

Conservatory and historic features of the hotel. Also the grounds and views across the valley and the quiet, peaceful aspect.

Cons:

The numbering system of the rooms was a bit confusing.

Cons:

Felt it was overpriced to have a bedroom facing directly opposite a dual carriageway - noisy and couldn’t have window open at night.
Very long walk and many stairs to the bedroom with a heavy bag

Very relaxing just what we needed. Excellent food a great place to relax and unwind.
Pros:

We stayed in the garden suite. Our stay here for 2 nights was perfect ! Ladies on reception lovely helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic we had it delivered to our room both days. We had dinner both nights in the hotel exceptional food very good we were all in agreement with the standard of food. The spa was very relaxing Just what we all needed. The staff in this hotel are very friendly and professional especially the lady on the desk who checked us out today ( not sure of her name ) glasses/ shoulder length hair. We booked the spa Friday night for Saturday with the same lady she couldn’t do enough for us. Many thanks

The only downside for us was the beds were a little hard.

Very comfortable and pleasant.
Pros:

staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast and all meals were good standard and enjoyable,
Location was amazing great views Room was very comfortable. Would have preferred a room with a better view.
Mine overlooked a small road. But only there for one night.
Good access to attractions of the area. Very informative booklet in room.
Building and surroundings are very impressive. All staff excellent and very professional and helpful.
Would definitely return for a longer stay.

Cons:

Spa and pool was not as big as advertised.

The views were lovely and the break room, the waiting staff where lovely and the evening receptionist on the Saturday was very pleasant and helpful
