Amazing!
Pros:

The hotel lies at this beautiful fjord, and building is just beautiful. We had a room with a balcony, which was amazing to soak in the sun and relax. The room was spacecious and had everything we needed. We especially loved the restaurant and the team there which was absolutly lovely!

Morgenmaden var desværre ikke, som vi havde håbet. Da vi kom ned 08.30 var der meget, som ikke var fyldt op, så vi skulle selv bede personalet af flere omgange om at fylde tingene op.

A comfortable stay in a great location in the Eastfjords
Pros:

A great location for touring in this region. We enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast facilities.

Cons:

Our room was a tight fit for 2 travellers with medium sized bags. My husband had to look out for the lowered height of attic ceiling.

A wonderful stay in a charming historic hotel
Pros:

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Fosshotel Eastfjords. The hotel is located in the charming little village of Fáskrúðsfjörður and is spread across several beautifully restored historic buildings that were originally built for the French fishermen who lived here around the turn of the 20th century, including the former French hospital. This gives the hotel a unique atmosphere and a great sense of history.

I had a spacious room with a wonderful view over Fáskrúðsfjörður fjord. The room was exactly what I would expect from a good three-star hotel and included both a small refrigerator and a kettle, which I always appreciate.

Breakfast is served in the hotel’s restaurant, L’Abri, and I found it perfectly good, with everything I needed to start the day. The restaurant also serves dinner. Although the menu is not extensive, the food is excellent and well prepared.

Both the reception staff and the restaurant team were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I would happily stay here again.

Cons:

There was only one small issue during my stay. Although check-out is until 12:00 noon, my room had already been completely cleaned shortly after 10:00 while I was loading my luggage into the car. I had not checked out yet and only wanted to return to the room to brush my teeth before leaving. Unfortunately, my toothpaste had already been removed, and my toothbrush would probably have been gone as well if I hadn’t happened to have it in my handbag.

It wasn’t a major problem, but it was surprising and a little inconvenient. I think housekeeping should only enter a room after the guest has officially checked out.

Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Cons:

Unser Zimmer im Dachgeschoss entsprach unseren Vorstellungen, insbesondere dass es eher teuer war. Auch Wasser in der Dusche war nur ganz spärlich vorhanden.

Toll gelegenes Hotel in historischem Gebäude

Nettes Hotel direkt am Fjord, schön renoviertes altes Gebäude. Gutes Frühstück, Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel.
Toller Blick auf den Fjord sowohl vom Zimmer als auch vom Restaurant aus.

Cons:

Bei uns war ein drittes Bett im Zimmer, somit eines zu viel. Das nahm Platz weg. Es war nur ein Stuhl im Zimmer, die zweite Person musste sich aufs Bett setzen / legen. Zimmer war etwas hellhörig (man hörte deutlich das Schnarchen im Zimmer nebenan). Hinter dem Haus (beim Hintereingang) lag Müll verstreut rum (auch am 2. Tag).

Interesting historical building, lower floor rooms with balcony at water level, large rooms, restaurant serving good dinner.

Dull breakfast and dull amenities, no shampo or body lotion in bathroom, no coffee machine, a bit disappointing when you pay 4400 Euro or more for a room
