De locatie was op wandelafstand van het centrum en het treinstation.
Noise from other residents who smoke on balconies and talk at 2.00am.
We didn't stay at the Soho at all and we went next door. It was described as having a safe, furniture on the balcony, but it didn't. The reason we left was it didn't have a safe and we were not prepared to leave passports, money etc in the room for 3 days and night. I found the reception staff whilst on the phone and personally badly informed as she seemed to know nothing in every question where I inquired. Very simple questions asked as most tourists would ask but she didn't know. EG I asked about Hop on Hop off Free Bus services to get to the the of centre of town she didn't know... In fact the bus stop was right out the front next door in front of the Mercure. ??? Management in the end after I had told them I had talked to Bookings.com about the situation located us to another location. Soho seemed like a small clean Hotel but the rooms or reception don't have safety deposit boxes.
The lack of simple tourist information and knowledge from the Reception. Not having Safety Deposits in rooms, no balcony furniture on our balcony both having been written in the advertising description.
Also there are no lifts so ask for the ground floor if needed. No door person to help you with your luggage to tackle the slope into the Hotel/Reception and the 4 or 5 steps to the ground floor to get to your room. When your a senior or have a disability tackling this can be very challenging. I wouldn't say don't stay there but be aware it does lack but prices are reasonable.
the small double could hardly fit in the room. the sliding door out to the deck was noisey and so was the next room
The bed was comfy
Very old hotel not worth per night cost for what it was.
And you can hear every little noise from people taking and walking on the hallway

This hotel has no lift or elevator so one has to carry their luggage up or down stairs. Something to be mindful of!
Room is clean and tidy with daily housekeeping. Staff was very helpful and assisted us with our luggage as there's no lift. Hotel is safe as a key is required to access the room corridor area. Although there's no lock inside the room, room door automatically locks on its own once closed. So people outside can only enter with a key. Convenient location with nearby dining options, walking distance to the city and free bus 30 loop bus.
No microwave in the room and balcony door cannot be opened.
