Everything was fabulous
Views are great. Location is great. That’s about it.
To be honest our stay was just average. The room and views were amazing but some of the windows were not just dirty they were filthy. We booked a window experience in Gong, the space we were crammed into was tiny, for £250 I would have expected more and much better service, we asked multiple times for sparkling water that never arrived, glasses not topped up, dishes not cleared away, a very average experience, later that evening I asked if they or another bar would be showing the England quarterfinal and I was laughed at and told “this is a five star hotel of course not” I was well aware it’s a five star hotel that’s why I booked it! The staff member was rude and condescending. Breakfast was also poor, a limited selection that you’d find in any decent 4 star hotel. The room and the views are 5 star but everything is really isn’t.

We went to the Shard for a room with a view. Unfortunately the view from our room was obscured by mucky windows.
I love to stay with Shangrila hotel whenever I travel to China ,Singapore and Australia since 1993. Myself and my family members all concurrently agreed to spend eight days visit recently to London for holiday because we feel safe if stay with Shangrila hotel as I have full confidence that all their staff are willing to support and help us whenever advice and hospitality services are needed. After returning to HK, we all felt that staying comfortable and peacefully every night in ShangrilaHotel London is absolutely wonderful to travellers like us!
I should have to say many thanks to Shangrila hotel The Shard for all their efforts to help their guests to have such a wonderful staying in London. As travellers , they could continue to provide us excellent hospitality service which are extremely vital. That’s why I continue to stay with Shangrila hotel no matter it is for business travelling or for holidays!

A little far from central London
Another excellent experience staying here. A three night stay and the service continues to be top class. Pool/sauna on floor 52 is excellent too!
Great property and view

I wanted to write to express my sincere thanks following our recent stay.
We were incredibly grateful to be upgraded to the Shangri-La Suite on arrival. It was such an unexpected gesture and truly made our trip unforgettable.
The suite was simply spectacular and every member of the team we encountered was warm, welcoming and professional.
Please would you pass on our thanks to the front office team and anyone involved in arranging the upgrade. Their kindness and generosity made a very special occasion even more memorable, and we are genuinely so appreciative.
Thank you once again for creating such a wonderful experience. We are already looking forward to returning to Shangri-La The Shard in the future.

We usually stay at the Grand / Park Hyatt when we go to Japan / Sydney / Hong Kong. But whenever we travel to London, we always choose to stay at Shangri-la The Shard.
This time we stayed at Shangri-La The Shard, London between 23–27 June to pre-celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday, the members (special thanks to Kurt and Bruna) at the Hotel has made our trip so memorable by providing us earlier check-in, room upgrading, and offering a birthday cake. Magnificent views from the room overlooking some iconic buildings like St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye, One Blackfriars,..., etc. Whenever we go to London again, I will not choose other hotels to stay at. Shangri-La The Shard, I see you again next time!
The view was nice but after looking at it for a little more than 5 minutes it is just a view. The rooms are clean but no thing spectacular. I have been to 3 star hotels abroad much nicer. There wasn't a welcome drink, no complimentary biscuits. I called concierge to find out if I could get some buscuits for the room and was told they no longer offered complimentary biscuits. We has only 2 bottles of water for our stay which was on a very hot day. The food was honestly not remarkable both for supper or for breakfast. The building is beautiful to look at. Unfortunately you can only look at it from the outside. The inside is just a clean building. We were not given an experience, we were given shelter for the day and night. Just shelter. The pool was a nice novelty and refreshing early in the morning.
Lack of " an experience". No complimentary anything important and worthwhile. Lack of value for the money paid.
