Art as well as size of the room
Location was a bit far and a bit deserted around at night. It doesn’t clearly say in the description.
Had 5 star review, but truly 2 star. No real shower, terrible food, apathetic service. No real shower. Ridiculous!!!

Très insonorisé, très bon déjeuner. Espace jardin était apprécié. Le personnel était à l’ecoute de nos besoins. C’était propre.
Un petit peu désuet aurait besoin d’une mise à jour de rénovation.Surtout la salle de bain. Le bain douche manque une poignée car bain glissant et peut être dangereux. Douche pas étanche.
It has an art school at the next door. At midnight, students are having parties until 12am. Noice can be heard in the hotel lobby and from my room. I felt I have nowhere to stay even if I was staying a five star hotel. The sound insulation of this hotel is very bad.
Loved my stay at The Editory Artist Baixa in Porto! Great location, walking distance to all the main sights, very clean, and beautifully designed rooms.
What really stood out was the staff — especially Catharina. She went above and beyond, noticing the little details and anticipating what I needed before I even asked. Her warmth and attentiveness made the whole stay feel effortless and personal.
Highly recommend this hotel, and a huge thank you to Catharina for making it such a memorable stay!
Great value for money.
Great location and room size
We recently returned from a 4 night visit to Porto where we stayed in this wonderful hotel. It is a short walk from the nearest metro station, providing easy access to and from the airport. The hotel used to be an art school and features lots of unique artwork throughout public areas and rooms. The staff could not have been more kind or helpful throughout our whole stay and made our room extra special for our celebration. In particular, Catarina and the breakfast chef (I didn’t catch her name, so sorry) went over and above to look after us. The port and pastel de natas at check in were so nice. Our room was immaculate, well equipped and spacious. Very comfortable bed. The hotel provided an excellent base for exploring Porto and Douro valley. There are some hills on the way from metro and main shopping area to the hotel, keep this in mind if travelling with lots of luggage or mobility issues. We loved our stay at this hotel and hope to return again in future.

El desayuno, aunque todo bueno y surtido no responde a un 5*. El zumo de naranja estaba aguado porque iba congelado.
Para ir a la zona de la Ribera son 30’ andando. Nos pilló ola de calor y las distancias se hicieron largas.

Das Hotel hat im Innenhof einen schönen Garten, in dem man entweder morgens frühstücken oder den Abend gemütlich noch etwas ausklingen lassen konnte.
Das Frühstückangebot an sich war gut, aber es wurde nicht direkt nachgefüllt. Es fehlte immer irgendetwas und man musste nachfragen. An Personal hat es eigentlich nicht gefehlt, aber sie waren mehr hinter der Theke mit anderen Dingen beschäftigt. Die Organisation sollte etwas optimiert werden.

Beautiful hotel, nicely decorated. Location close to main attractions but in a quiet street. Staff very helpful provide an excellent service. On site parking is a big plus. There is a brother hotel next so you can use both facilities.
Lovely spacious room in a beautiful old building and very friendly, helpful staff. Nice gifts of sweets and port. The bed was comfortable and it was in a great location.
Unfortunately our AC did not work very well, the hairdryer didn't work and the pillows were very uncomfortable.
