Wc çok küçüktü kapısı sesi dışarı yansıtıyordu. Eşinizle aynı odada iken tuvalet kullanmak çok kötü bir deneyim.

Der Empfang durch Sara in Vertretung des Managers war sehr herzlich, sie nahm sich immer die Zeit, nach dem Befinden der Gäste zu fragen, bei Bedarf Vorschläge zur Tagesgestaltung zu machen und alle Fragen zu beantworten. Dadurch erhielt der Aufenthalt eine sehr persönliche Note.
Das Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen nach den Wünschen der Gäste zubereitet (Eier, Müsli/Joghurt) und von ihr am Tisch serviert.
Durch die Upgrade-Unterbringung direkt neben dem eigentlichen Eingang war es sehr ruhig, das Zimmer geräumig, mit Klimaanlage und großem Duschbereich.
Man konnte in der Unterkunft normale Hollandräder ausleihen, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Der Name Waterland ist Programm (Kanäle, Grachten, Brücken …), es gibt schöne Städtchen in der näheren Umgebung, nicht zu vergessen die Insel Marken, die sowohl mit der Fähre als auch über den Deich zu erreichen ist. Monnickendam selbst eignet sich gut für längere Spaziergänge. Das Städtchen ist nicht überlaufen, malerisch, besonders der alte Stadtkern, mit einem schönen kleinen Hafen und diversen netten Restaurants. Wer im Ijsselmeer baden möchte, kann dies in Monnickendam im Freizeitgebiet Hemmeland tun, dort gibt es kleine Buchten mit weißem Sand und zwei Bereiche mit Gastronomie.
