Pros:

Overall the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Love the walnut cookies that they gave for complimentary.

Cons:

There was no complimentary drink. We could not use the swimming pool and sit at the swimming area to relax. Eventhough the swimming was close, they let us let around the pool to enjoy the view in the evening and get some fresh air. These was no valet parking.

Everything was okay. Sadly the pool was closed and need total revamp on Makan Kitchen restaurant.
Pros:

Room and its amenities, plus hotel location

Cons:

Makan Kitchen. Lighting are quite dim, need a renovation to revamp the whole restaurant. Plates are not strategically placed

Clean modern rooms and great customer service.
Pros:

My stay was very short, but hotel was very clean, good customer service and great location. I would stay here again.

Cons:

Rooms are Singapore pricing, but I did book last min so may not have got a good rate.

Johor Bahru's benchmark.
Pros:

Hilton Doubletree is the benchmark I use to measure any other hotels or accommodations in the city. They have some of the most amazing staff and they work really hard to accommodate the guests. Great restaurants, pool, the massage facility is the gold standard (operated by a third party, no sexual services) rivalling some of the best in the business.

Cons:

Age is showing at the property and it would be prudent for the property owners to consider investing more into capable technicians and handyman who can fix up the little things in the property. Inspection and fixing stuff. This is integral to a branded property like Doubletree.
