De kamers waren niet schoon. In de kamer die oorspronkelijk voor mij bestemd was, trof ik kakkerlakken aan. Nadat ik vier verschillende kamers had bekeken, ben ik uiteindelijk in een kamer gebleven die nog enigszins acceptabel was, omdat mij werd verteld dat ik mijn geld niet terug kon krijgen. Dit terwijl via Booking.com een kosteloze annulering of wijziging wel mogelijk bleek.
Daarnaast hing er in de kamer voortdurend een sterke rioollucht, wat het verblijf erg onaangenaam maakte. Ook waren meerdere voorzieningen in de kamer defect. Het hotel maakt een zeer onverzorgde indruk. De spiegel en douchekop waren bedekt met kalkaanslag en vertoonden roestvorming.
Er was geen strijkijzer aanwezig, terwijl dit volgens de beschrijving wel beschikbaar zou zijn. Uiteindelijk moest ik een strijkijzer lenen en telkens terugbrengen. Ook de strijkplank was kapot.
Het ontbijt was zeer teleurstellend. Gedurende twee weken kregen we iedere dag exact hetzelfde: een sapje, brood en een gebakken ei. Op de foto's wordt een gevarieerd ontbijt gesuggereerd, maar dat komt absoluut niet overeen met de werkelijkheid. Ook de geadverteerde cocktailbar bleek niet aanwezig te zijn.
Daarnaast heeft het hotel meer geld in rekening gebracht dan het bedrag dat op Booking.com vermeld stond. Er wordt geen redelijke of gangbare wisselkoers gehanteerd. Het personeel lijkt vriendelijk totdat je hen aanspreekt op deze gang van zaken. Toen ik aangaf dat er te veel in rekening werd gebracht, probeerden zij dit als normaal te presenteren. Ik heb zelfs meegemaakt dat zij hetzelfde probeerden bij twee Amerikaanse gasten, door zelf een ongunstige wisselkoers te bepalen. Dit lukte uiteindelijk niet, omdat ik aanwezig was en hen wees op deze onjuiste werkwijze.
Al met al was dit een zeer teleurstellende ervaring. De staat van het hotel, de misleidende informatie en de manier waarop met gasten wordt omgegaan, maken dat ik dit hotel niet kan aanbevelen.
