It was ok.
Pros:

When I had an issue the employee was quick to rectify the problem.

Cons:

There was a distinct smell like a wet dog on the hallway outside our room. Our room was not cleaned and beds were not made. There were no sheets or pillowcases.

Motel 6 has really stepped it up a notch.
Pros:

I liked the value, the cleanliness, the big bathtub and the fluffy towels. The coffee was very good. I liked the lobby and the staff. I liked it that it felt more like a hotel than a motel.

Cons:

The room was freezing from the AC when we entered. We turned it off but the room stayed so cold, and there were no extra blankets. I would have liked a box of tissues and would have liked the coffee to stay out longer than 10:00. I would have liked not having to give a security deposit. That felt strange.

The front desk woman was nice. Fluffy pillows

Cons:

The mold, no microwave or mini fridge. Ice machine gave little ice or didn't work. Pool not working. Moisture shooting out from air vent.

Motel 6 should invest in better filtration system if it wants to be at this location.

There is some type of factory across the street with smoke stacks. In my room, I could smell tar all night long.

Lesson learned…
Pros:

Not a bad drive from Cedar Point. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

We had to request a different room after we checked in because the beds were not cleaned properly. The top sheets had what looked like blood stains/specks in several spots, and there was dog fur all over the blankets. (I don’t mind pets but expect clean bedding). Sleeping was pretty rough because the mattresses were uncomfortable… after being at the amusement park all day, it was disappointing.

Before I booked this room, I called to make sure the pool was open after seeing some of the reviews. I was traveling with kids so I also wanted to give them something to do during our down time. They confirmed it was open on the phone but upon arrival it “hasn’t been open all season” . The sign out front even advertised the pool .
