Very Disappointing

Cons:

I actually booked the stay specifically to have a relaxed and peaceful day at the dam, with the intention of enjoying some quiet time, relaxation and tranquillity. Unfortunately, I did not experience that at all.
To make matters worse, the room had a strong cigarette smell when we arrived and did not appear to have been properly aired or ventilated. Smoking had taken place in the room before our arrival and you can imagine how that made me feel as I had kids under the age of 10, as per booking least you could have done is ensure room is children safe.

From the time we arrived until very late into the night, the hotel played loud music. Regardless of the variety of guests’ tastes or personal preferences, we were essentially subjected to whatever music was being played. There did not even appear to be a particularly large crowd or event that would justify the volume.

The constant loud music made it extremely difficult to relax, unwind or enjoy the beautiful surroundings and scenery. It was particularly disappointing because the peaceful setting at the dam was one of the main reasons I chose to book the stay in the first place.
Taken together, these issues significantly affected our comfort and enjoyment of the stay and fell well short of the peaceful, relaxing experience I had expected.
