Perfect setting
Pros:

Walking distance from the station and city centre. Beautiful setting with well kept gardens. Lovely old property, spacious room, excellent breakfast and staff very knowledgeable about coeliac disease and very accomodating.

Cons:

There wasnt anything i didnt like. We only stayed one night as we were just having a stop off (the Highlands of Scotland to south east Kent is too much for one day) but id be happy to go back and stay longer.

We felt at home which was down to how we were treated and looked after.
Pros:

Everything… the location is fantastic, the staff were superb and couldn’t do enough to make sure we enjoyed our time there.

Heel fijn verblijf.
Pros:

De ligging was perfect, een kwartiertje lopen naar het centrum van York. Het hotel was voortreffelijk, de kamer goed. Er was een heerlijke tuin.

Cons:

De toegang tot de parkeergelegenheid was ontzettend smal en het aantal parkeerplaatsen zeer beperkt.

Great value hotel in a good location.
Pros:

Our room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Short walk into the centre of York. Bar was open for a drink before bed.

C’est bien bien sauf que j’éviterais si il fait chaud à l’extérieur.
Pros:

Grandeur de la chambre, le silence durant la nuit et le meilleur déjeuner inclus avec une chambre que j’ai jamais eu.

Cons:

Aucune circulation d’ai dans la chambre même avec les fenêtres ouvertes alors quand il fait chaud dehors sa prend quelques jours avant que la chambre retrouve une température raisonnable. Alors j’ai eu quelques nuits avec peu de sommeil durant mon séjour. Pas de petit frigidaire dans la chambre. Alors difficile de ce rafraîchir.

Worth a visit
Pros:

Great prices , great location, lovely staff

Cons:

The only downside was the size of the double bed it was more of a very small double bed , and the mattress was a little too firm for my liking

Great location and nice hotel
Pros:

Good breakfast and great location

Cons:

Had a room located at the back of hotel (rm 20 above the kitchen) the first delivery started at 5am approx then the 2 extractor fans fired up for breakfast and they are really noisy, I even complained the evening of our arrival as they started cooking the evening meal. NO chance of sleeping when they are going!!!!

Pros:

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel had lots of character. Very clean .. Breakfast was great lots to choose from I didn't have to wait in a qué for a buffet meal . We were served personally by the waitress. Not far from the railway station . Lovely front garden to sit in . Plenty of parking. . The Lauren and Hardy bar was very nice . .

Cons:

Nothing I didn't like .

Great hotel
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was very nice Great service and room was very good . Only 15 minutes walk to town and 20 min walk to york races . lovely bar and lounge. Nice garden to sit and have a drink.

Cons:

If your in one of the top rooms ask them for a fan as the rooms get very hot at night .
The weather was very hot when we stayed there.
