We have been here a few times now and always enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately this will be our last for a while now due to the rude bar lady with glasses on wasn’t very helpful and nice to us on being offered a complimentary free drink. Having just drove from Sheffield in floods it was nice looking forward to a hot drink and drying off. Unfortunately went pear shaped. The owner of the property are lovely and we have no complaints about them whatsoever. But such a shame one small matter can ruin a whole looking forward trip to York. 😢😢

Lovely property, very clean. Great location, wasn’t too close to the centre so was very quiet but was only a 15 minute walk in.
Breakfast was lovely, a good selection and very fresh.
Nettes kleines Hotel, sehr sauber, Innenstadtnah. Qualitativ gutes Frühstück, ausser dem Kaffee.
Die Betten waren zu kurz und schlecht. Wir haben relativ schlecht geschlafen. Quntitativ eher mickriges Frühstück. Kein Buffet. Das Hotel sollte auf jeden Fall mal renoviert werden.

The staff were lovely and very helpful, the room was very clean and fresh .We arrived a little earlier than expected but our room was already ready so we checked in early at no extra cost and the breakfast was one of the best we have had .We would recommend to anyone.

Lovely setting and it was nice to see that many of the buildings original features remained.
All the Laurel and hardy memorabilia. Found the statues a bit creepy. Bed good but mattress could of been better
Location was excellent. Everywhere was so busy because the races were on but they had overflow parking at the school so there was no problems
Narrow staircase as our cases were as wide as we were.
Good location easy walking to the train station and town centre with several pubs, a supermarket, restaurants and a cinema close by. My room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. hotel bar was reasonably priced. I had a cooked breakfast which was very good. All the staff i spoke to were very pleasant

Parking at the hotel is round the back down a narrow lane and very tight. Restaurant closed on Monday evening
