Bar Harbor Grand Hotel is so delightful...we'll be back!
Pros:

Bar Harbor Grand Hotel is in short walking distance of Bar Harbor town's super cute downtown area. Staff is friendly and professional, even on our departure at 3:00AM on Memorial Day. Their free full breakfast is superior and heathy, with some visible adds for European travelers (cheese at breakfast, yay!). The dining room is spacious and there is an outdoor sitting area with fluffy blankets in case it's chilly. My son used the gym and said it was beautiful. Our room was spacious and immaculate, we enjoyed the nightly chocolates! It is the only time I've ever stayed in a hotel where I did not hear other guests at any time during our stay. Really an exceptional experience!

Cons:

There was nothing we didn't like.

Great staff, great property, amazing room, great location in town.
Pros:

I accidentally booked the room a day early so I was listed as a no show. The front desk clerk was so kind and helpful she fixed the reservation without charging me an extra night. I was so grateful!

Pros:

Our room was located at the 3rd floor. As a European traveller I didn't expect to have a proper breakfast but they did have all you need to start your day :) The hotel location is 2 min walk aways from the center, so everything is reachable by barefoot.

It's a historic hotel but completely updated and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and no disposable plastic was used, all compostable materials.

Gem on south Main st
Pros:

Walkable to everything, but away from some of the north end congestion. Lovely hotel, well maintained, and clean. Good Continental breakfast included. The room was well appointed with towels, glassware, and robes. No complaints at all, would stay again.
