Good value stay. Staff could be a little more attentive.
Pros:

Comfortable and good value. Pleasant village location. Good meal options.

Cons:

Room (5) was a little too warm, despite window being fully open.
No one available on check-in desk - rang bell 3 times, and finally had to go into bar area to find staff

Great Stay
Pros:

This was a great location as we were heading into Scarborough for a concert and the train station is really easily accessible. It was so roomy really clean and well equipped we'd stay there again in a heartbeat

Modern and clean in a vibrant pub
Pros:

Very clean and modern. Plenty of food options in the pub below. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Room’s above outdoor area of pub so not good if you want an early night (music stopped at 1030).

Overall, excellent stay - couple gripes as above but despite these, would stay again.
Pros:

Welcoming and helpful staff, excellent food, comfy room - extremely well run establishment.

Cons:

Room too hot and lack of attention to smaller detail of cleaning , ie; base of chair and the shelf above the hanging/‘wardrobe’ area were both very dusty. En suite floor edges need attention as does rusty towel rail and no toilet roll holder.

Extremely clean and comfortable however on the small side
Pros:

Extremely clean and very comfortable. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Bedrooms were ready early.

Cons:

The bedrooms are on the small side. Breakfast had to be paid for separately which added an extra £24 on to a one night stay.

It was a lovely hotel, with a very lively bar the food was very good..

Cons:

We was in room 12 the front door was hard to open due to the spring. And the doors into the room was hard to open due to the spring. The sliding door to the bathroom was difficult to slide open but they are problems that can be overcome.

Fabulous 2nd stay here and would definitely stay again

Brilliant, clean well kept room, smelt clean comfortable bed and plenty of pillows.

Fabulous and very reasonable
Pros:

The location was a bit quieter than staying in Scarborough itself. There was a big free car park for guests, and the train stops 10 mins away but there's a bus stop into town directly opposite that only takes about 10-15 mins.
The room was excellent, really well designed to make the best use of space available. The bed was comfy.
It was a hot day but the windows opened and the Dyson bladeless fan was brilliant.
Staff were approachable, amenable, and accomplished.
Breakfast was ample, and all good produce.

Cons:

I'd have liked instructions for the fan.

We didn't eat here so can't comment on food. A little further from Scarborough than I hoped but good taxi service.

Enjoyable. We plan to return.
Pros:

Spacious room and bathroom, clean. Welcoming, friendly staff. Good choice of breakfast. Well situated and surprisingly large. The room was quiet even though it overlooked the Main Street.

Cons:

The room was upstairs and was accessed by leaving the main building and walking around the side. The decor was a little tired and the carpet on the stairs was stained.
