Breakfast selection is not so good
The Promenade hotel is a very functional hotel in a good location. It is good value for money and a central base from which to explore the city. The rooms are very comfortable with great views.
The swimming pool is very dated, impacted by the constant road noise. Access to it is also pretty ordinary down two sets of stairs. Only having one set of steps to access the main pool is surprising. Probably the worst designed pool I have ever swum in. Very few pool loungers.
The lack of any attractive bar is also a shame. The top floor is club members only. We ended up using the rooftop bar at the Marriott across the road instead.
I love this hotel. I feel so comfortable and easy to find the food. The staff is so friendly and very polite. I will come again
