Great location, car parking, friendly staff, nice restaurant and welcoming bar. Comfortable bed and modern room with nice and clean.
Disappointed that the room we were allocated over looked the car park entrance with people walking by. The window was low and we had to have the blind down at all times for privacy. Thought the price paid was a little expensive given that all other rooms had a garden or sea view, had we have known this on booking it would have been helpful.
My third visit to The Beach House Hotel, and I'm never disappointed. There is a relaxed atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, and vlean throughout. As a solo traveller, it's good to have the option of the comfy bar in the evening. Breakfast was as good as ever - Craster kippers, of course. My room was the single, but perfectly big enough. The hotel is perfectly located for visits to Bamburgh and Farne Islands trips. Will be back again next year for puffin season!

Meeting friends for the first time in 12 years! Excellent parking spaces but repairs urgently needed for potholes. Comfortable bar with sea views. very nice breakfast. Most staff very helpful and friendly.
From start to finish our short break was poor to say the least. Our room was a disabled ( not requested) room with enormous bathroom space but no toilet rolls on arrival, no complimentary toiletries and only one tap at handbasin. Discovered at 10.30pm that the TV would not switch on so no football. The door to our room did not fit properly and had to be banged shut to get it locked.
Dinner was booked for 7.30pm and I had reserved several weeks earlier and was promised a window table. Well all we got was a "sit where you like" but not where we expected. No tablecloth or cutlery and thin paper napkins. Eventually someone took our order(4 sirloin steaks) only to be told 30 minutes later that there was only 2 steaks left and no crab either when 2 of us chose the linguine as substitute. "Seafood" linguine was
finally agreed on. When our food arrived we got raw meat and very little fish with a few mussels thrown in.
One steak returned as it was inedible and after being recooked was still not much better. Both steaks could only be described as rubbish and the pasta as very poor. Although all of this was brought to staff attention there was very little reaction and the Dining Room Manager avoided us for rest of evening. When we got the bill there were no amendments except that the 10% surcharge had been removed. When asked about a recognition of the disaster of a meal we were offered a bottle of wine. This was in response to a bill that with drinks was £180 (4 mains,3 sweets).

The facilities for the price point were disappointing the price of our room was closed to luxury hotels per night and the facilities simply weren't there
Room was clean and spacious and the bed was just perfect - very comfy. The beach is literally outside the hotel, with a stunning view of two lighthouses winking away at each other in the night. Staff was helpful and very friendly, and the food - both breakfast and dinner - was delicious.
