Excellent generous breakfast catering for all tastes. I asked to use a room off the main reception hall later but the receptionist seemed afraid to open shutters so I asked if I could as I had to wait a bit before my train came.
Either guests can use the room or not wasn't clear. Quite frankly if we have to be out of our room by 9.30 it would be a nice gesture to encourage guests to sit in those rooms where there's comfortable chairs and lovely books to read. The lift was excellent but hard to find on floor 3.
A member of kitchen staff was having a large argument with a staff member because the mobility lift outside the dining room seemed stuck. She was very rough with it and the staff member very timid. It was most unpleasant and I reported it at the registration desk. Very upsetting to have to experience her annoyance and she had no care for us guests entering the dining room.
Bedroom window didn't close properly all landings draughty, poor signage on floor 3 especially if there was a fire and what signage did exist wasn't very clear. No grab rails in shower next to 331, the cheap mat is NOT slip free. It was quite scary taking a shower. I wouldn't again there.

The breakfast was excellent
A lack of a bedside table especially for those of us who require a machine and a power socket for sleep apnoea - which mercifully I didn't bring on this occasion. But I had to place my medication and water on the floor as the door to the shower room left no space. The bed was very badly placed against the wall with no space beside it. As an elderly person, with a disability this was not good. Also no bedside light. Needs serious rethinking by the management and the needs of disabilities such as mine taken into account.
