On arrival the receptionist was a bit rude and couldn’t speak the kings English properly. Not a good start for a quick b
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Bit shabby. TV was not working. Told reception and they it would definitely be done straight away but it never happened. I fixed the aerial lead myself.

Ok for a short budget stay but nothing longer
Pros:

Dirty. Broken tiles in bathroom, rust covering radiator in bathroom mold on grout / sealant. Bed uncomfortable, tv Ariel held together with so much tape. Tv had large cracks on screen, and tv reception awful. Tea and coffee not topped up throughout stay.

Cons:

Most things really could have been better or improved. Drastically needs decorating. Paint over table

Pros:

Location is perfect

Cons:

This would have been an amazing hotel in its day. Unfortunately it now needs modernisation. Which would be uneconomical. Which is a shame

Let down
Pros:

The Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I liked that is was close to Sea Life, the big wheel and the shops. Lots of Restaurants and Cafes and of course Fish and chips shops.

Very close to the Beach. The beach was very clean

Cons:

The roo.m was quite small and old looking.

The cold water tap made a crazy noise when turned on.

I did not use the shower as very antiquated, too close to the door and not clean. Washed in the sink sideways as the windows were soo close to the window.

The Internet was rubbish kept saying no digital connection.

The entrance of the Hotel smelled bad as if they had never been cleaned or changed.

Pros:

To be honest it was like stepping back in time, I thought it was grate !
I assumes this hotel was built in the 50's
And it still has that old character about it, and I liked that..
I just booked a room for one night, somewhere just to stay for the night, £60 was cheap enough.. we (me n the wife) were given the keys to a Suite.. (not just a bedroom), it just had loads of character about it..
Nice little bar area that wasn't overpriced, staff were great, .. it wasn't immaculate, but it wasn't dirty either.
Listen, if you want modern, go find yaself a premier inn and pay double..
Or step back in time a bit and discover the Nelson hotel..

Cons:

There wasn't anything I didn't like..
