Pros:

Lovely hotel. Spacious, clean room with a great view of the sea. Beds were quite soft but comfortable. Handy to have a toilet and sink in the room. Very clean. Great location, close to the pier, shops etc. Good bus routes nearby

Cons:

The shower didn't get hot
It was very bright in the mornings as the curtains didn't fully cover the windows and the noise from the passing traffic was quite audible through the single glazed windows - would recommend bringing eye mask and ear plugs.

A If you are looking for a budget hotel, right on the seafront ,The Strand is a good option.
Pros:

Room was quiet. The towels were large aand fluffy. There was a kettle and daily replenished supplies of tea, coffee and milk. The room was seviced daily. There was room to move easily between the twin beds. The curtains blacked out the light adequately. There was plenty of free parking on surrounding roads. The location facilitatd easy, relatively uncongested access to main routes into and out of the town. The main shopping area and pier were within walking distance.

Cons:

There was no working lift to the first floor. Negotiating the heavy fire door at the top of the flight of stairs with ( and without) a case was tricky. Internally the bar area , stair ways etc were quite dark.

Restoring the balcony and allowing access would improve the room even more

Location not too bad. Staff polite. Appeared to be trying to assist.

Cons:

Sadly not much positive to say about this hotel. No hot water in initial room. Room looked nothing like the photograph's on the Booking.com website. Dirty towel with make up on in first room and half a toilet roll....So we complained and were moved to another room. 2nd room slightly better although cigarette butt on window ledge, toilet door didn't shut and side of radiator falling off.

Pros:

The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent and very attentive without being overbearing. Would highly recommend.

Cons:

Nothing. I paid £75 for 2 nights. It was exceptional value for money.
