Popular with our family. Friendly and efficient staff. Very good location
Pros:

Being part of the Union Station development means access is available to the restaurants and other food outlets. Breakfast at snooze was excellent.
A free coffee in the morning and scoop of ice cream at happy hour were very welcome!

Lovely Hotel in Union Station
Pros:

The Crawford is a small hotel located in Union Station. The lobby is small but tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious and lovely. It has character. It is not a cookie cutter hotel. The staff was very gracious. Little touches that I appreciated included offering us sparkling rose on check in, a steamer in the room, daily maid service, freebies at other Union Station businesses with our key card (coffee, ice cream, Sangria), a harpist in the lobby. It's a great location and the rooms were very quiet. We'd stay there again.

Cons:

Nothing

They Need Better Training at the Front Desk.
Pros:

Dionna gave very poor customer service. She gave us keys for only one of our two rooms that we booked. She did not make reservations for us at Snooze, when asked directly to do so. When I asked about amenities, she let me know, "Coffee," as this was her one word response. Nothing about the fitness center or gym available, nor the bar upstairs.

Pros:

Location is great. Some services are questionable……room reservation preferences were not met ……. And tho clerk was apologetic did nothing to alleviate the situation.

We LOVED The Crawford
Pros:

We loved The Crawford and would highly recommend it! The location is great but on property there are so many great options for food and drink. The accommodations were so comfortable and the benefits of staying there with our AMEX card were awesome.

A Stressful End to an Otherwise Wonderful Trip
Pros:

Our stay at The Crawford Hotel was unfortunately a very disappointing end to an otherwise wonderful vacation.
Upon arrival, the hotel appeared to be severely understaffed. The lobby was extremely crowded, filled with luggage, and there was a very long line to reach the front desk. The elevator situation only added to the confusion, with long waits and guests being directed to a secondary elevator elsewhere in the station. After waiting for that elevator and riding it to our floor, we discovered there was no way to access our room from that location and had to return to the main lobby and wait all over again.
When we finally reached our room, we discovered that the room type was incorrect. Our reservation clearly showed a room with two double beds, but we had been assigned a very small room with a single bed. We were also told our luggage would be waiting in our room upon arrival, but it was not there.
We returned to the lobby and eventually located our luggage ourselves, buried underneath other luggage in large piles throughout the lobby area. We then had to wait approximately another 25 minutes in a line of understandably frustrated guests dealing with a variety of issues, including non-functioning key cards and incorrect room assignments.
To make matters worse, while waiting in line, another guest who had become frustrated with the lengthy wait directed his anger toward me. By the time we reached the front desk, we learned that there were apparently no remaining rooms available with two beds. We were offered only a small rollaway bed in an already tiny room, along with restaurant credits at nearby establishments.
Unfortunately, the room itself had additional problems. The toilet had such poor water pressure that it required multiple flushes to clear even a small amount of toilet paper, and the bathroom door did not have a lock.
Mistakes can happen, but the number of issues experienced by so many guests that evening suggests that room assignments, key cards, and arrival logistics were not adequately verified in advance. This created a great deal of unnecessary stress at the end of what had otherwise been an amazing trip.
I hope management investigates what happened and improves their arrival procedures so future guests do not experience the same issues.

Terrible experience
Pros:

Terrible experience! We checking in to our room, the moment we walked in it was stifling hot in our room. We attempted to change the thermostat down, however it was already reading 67 in the room. The vent was blowing Luke warm air. We complained 3 times to hotel staff, and an engineer attempted to fix it 3 times. Finally the engineer checked the thermometer and it was reading. 78 degrees in our room! This was in late June during summer. The staff finally offered to move us rooms after repeated complaints regarding the heat. They did upgrade us, however the unfriendly staff, the hot room, and minimizing of our needs from a 5 star hotel was appalling and quite frankly ruined our stay. I also requested a bottle of wine after booking the hotel and never received it. I would not recommend to anyone.

Good times zero privacy
Pros:

Perfect location and loved the vibe. The rooms are small and no privacy. You can hear everything in the rooms next to you. I would not stay there again, but still had a great experience. Really cute. Felt like a European botique hotel.

Highly recommend
Pros:

In a world where hotels routinely charge upwards of $10 for bottled water in the room (and look for any ways to upcharge guests, really), The Crawford gives you seemingly unlimited bottled water. Seems like a small thing, sure, but it's also the small things that often separate the good from the great.

Historic hotel in downtown Denver
Pros:

The Crawford is a boutique hotel located inside downtown Denver's Union Station. We stayed one night prior to leaving on the Rocky Mountaineer's Canyon Spirit train trip. Our room was large, with a very high ceiling that was painted in floral design. There was a complimentary coffee and tea service, as well as mini bar liquors available for purchase. The bathroom was spacious, and they still offer toiletries unlike many other hotels. The service was excellent, from check in until departure. For those traveling on the Canyon Spirit train, there is a service desk located right next to the hotel entrance. There's also an Amtrak ticket desk for those traveling on the California Zephyr line. There are a number of shops and restaurants inside Union Station, as well as nearby, so you don't have to deal with the downtown traffic during a short stay. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone traveling by train or with business in downtown Denver. You won't be disappointed.

Gilded Age experience made Modern
Pros:

We stayed in historic Union station and had a wonderful time with the amenities and dining options. The concierge desk is extremely helpful from booking rides and restaurant reservations to providing recommendations to any number of activities. You must go on the history tour and get a cider at the Terminal bar. Maybe stay away from the Mercantile restaurant unless you prefer reputation over flavor.
