Beautiful property on the outskirts of Broadway, The Cotswolds. Calm peaceful rooms to relax and unwind and surroundings with wonderful facilities- pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and showers. Perfect for our honeymoon.
Très belle hôtel, personnels chaleureux, accueillant et attentionnés, bar et restaurant au top !
This is my favourite place to go for a night away to escape life. It's small but so perfectly formed and always peaceful. We went away just for a night for a significant wedding anniversary - we only live half an hour away but Dormy transports you right out the mundane the minute you check in. The delightful and very helpful Taylor showed us around and to our room and surprised us with a room up grade and some chilled champagne. Pre-prandials are expertly and imaginately created in the cosy bar - I had a super cocktail and my husband was able to try some great wine as they use the coravin system so you dont need to buy the whole bottle of something really good. Dinner was deliciously and charmingly served by the wonderful staff. Dining room is really elegant and you are spaced apart from other dinners so you don't have to overhear other people's dinner chat. Our bedroom was very clean, stylish and comfortable and the little outside terrace was perfect - even down to the chair cushions and the visiting robin. Slept like a log! Used the spa the next day - I have used the spa lots of times before and it never fails to deliver - peace, quiet and calm - great sauna/steam/snow machine and as the weather was balmy we enjoyed the outside space and the plunge pool. Can't forget to mention breakfast which was - surprise surprise, ten out of ten. So well done Dormy for providing the perfect shot in the arm. I had been to Soho Farmhouse the day before for a swim and lunch and it was rammed and whilst the offer is totally different there, I was very grateful for the tranquility and wonderful service we had at Dormy during a hot and busy Cotswolds August.
We have just returned from our second 3 night stay at Dormy House. Once again it was perfect from start to finish. We stayed in The Hot Tub Suite, which was just wonderful. The whole hotel and spa is spotlessly clean, with so many thoughtful touches to enhance your stay. The staff are amazing and always go the extra mile to ensure you are having a lovely time. We will definitely be back.
Beautifully decorated and lobby staff- Rebecca- great.
Spa- attendant wasn’t great
Dormy House was perfect for our girls trip to the Cotswolds. It was fully modern (including air conditioned which was a must for us in the summer), while still keeping all of the countryside charm. The food was impeccable. We stayed for breakfast every morning and enjoyed dinner one night. The spa services were lovely—exactly what we needed for our jet lag. The town of Broadway itself is adorable and full of great shops and restaurants.
This is a very charming hotel. We stayed in a Top Notch room that was spacious & clean with a small terrace & nice view of the back garden. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. The bathroom was nice with a spacious shower & overhead shower head and handheld option.
It was nice to come back from our days touring the Cotswolds to sit on the Shed’s patio and have a drink to toast our day. Very quiet and peaceful.
The Back Garden served delicious breakfasts and dinners. The breads, cheese souffle, steamed courgetti flower were all excellent to start our dinners. The fillet of cod was excellent & perfectly tender. The chalk-stream trout was also very good. Others had the chicken & ham hock pie and said it was also very good. The atmosphere is really nice.
We had dinner at MO one evening and it was really fun interacting with the chef and others around the table. The food was excellent and the wine pairing suggestions were very good.
We toured the spa which is beautiful, but unfortunately did not give ourselves enough time to enjoy it. We would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate to visit the area again.
Not crowded, very quiet and felt like a holiday home. Staff were very friendly and made my husband’s birthday special. We are so grateful for the hospitality, food and personal service. The food and drinks were delicious!
Better quality of cocktails at night. Day service drinks were definitely more spot on. Maybe longer hours to use spa facilities, at least 12pm on the day of checkout.
Spa
Overcooked bacon at breakfast, slow lunch service, putside seating by road, unjustified high price
Fabulous hotel, restaurant & Spa 👍
WiFi not good
I was given a gift voucher for an overnight stay at Dormy House including breakfast & money towards dinner for my 40th birthday. What a wonderful 24 hours myself & my husband had! We arrived at 12pm and enjoyed an afternoon in the spa- all of the facilities were very clean & felt luxurious. It was quite quiet which meant we could use all of the facilities at our leisure without it feeling busy. We especially liked the snow shower!
We enjoyed a light lunch & drink in The Green House. Special mention to Max who was friendly & professional.
When we went to collect our room key, we were informed that we had been upgraded to a courtyard suite- what a very special treat this was! We had 2 bathrooms, a sitting room & a bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed. The complimentary snacks & drinks were super and the bottle of champagne gifted for my birthday was great! Thank you for arranging this. The toiletries in the bathrooms are excellent & smell divine!
Our dinner was absolutely delicious- the raspberry soufflé was the best dessert I’ve had in a long time and my husband said the pea & basil risotto was fabulous. The service in The Back Garden was exceptional- we were seated next to a large group & were asked if we wanted to be moved to a quieter table. We didn’t move but both commented on how nice it was that our needs were so closely thought of. Breakfast this morning was of equally high standard- an excellent wide choice on both the self-service & cooked options. At no point in either meal did we feel rushed or that anything would be too much trouble.
All of the staff we came into contact with were very friendly & helpful. The cookies & water on departure were much appreciated.
An excellent stay! We hope to return to soon and would highly recommend Dormy House to everyone!
Faultless, staff lovely, beautiful setting, very comfortable, super stylish interiors.
Could have had the football on!!! Really nothing, all good.
Dormy House Hotel is in an amazing location within the Cotswolds, and I would definitely choose it again when staying in the Broadway area. They have two sister properties nearby, but Dormy really felt like the standout of the bunch.
Breakfast in the garden area was absolutely wonderful and delicious, with vegetarian-friendly options available upon request. The staff were all extremely sweet and welcoming, which made the stay feel even more special.
The rooms were very clean and well kept, with comfortable beds and nice showers. The pool was pristine, and the spa area was excellent, with a great sauna, steam room, snow machine, rain shower, and more.
There were also thoughtful touches throughout the stay, like complimentary cookies each day and a daily beverage in the lobby area. The Hawkstone cider was delicious as well. We also really enjoyed lunch on the deck overlooking the pretty field across the way.
Overall, Dormy House was a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable place to stay in the Cotswolds. Highly recommended.
The Dormy house is Old English charm at its finest. So many cosy rooms to enjoy. The spa is exceptional, and treatments were superb
Nothing!
We travel quite a bit and I would have to rank our experience at the Dormy as top five. The setting is absolutely amazing, the hotel is historic, but renovated. The service was outstanding, and we are still talking about the meals that we had there, absolutely delicious. The rooms were excellent in the whole property was kept extremely clean. We enjoyed strolls near the property in the evening and the location to visit other villages was excellent. We highly highly recommend staying here!
The property is beautifully maintained and the English countryside setting is perfect. The hotel itself is gorgeous, exactly what you would imagine for a luxury retreat.
Everything was perfect.
We went for our anniversary and the staff made it feel very special. The Spa was lovely and quiet, and felt well maintained. The food was good.
