Clean, new and food was good
Breakfast wasn’t early enough
The location on the lake is amazing! The Hotel probably once was a top hotel but it seems maintenance was neglected for the last few years. Nice pool, good outdoor facilities (canoes, paddleboard, kayaks, etc.). The restaurant was amazing! Excellent chef, excellent food!
Seems the management is sweating the asset, saving on maintenance and on staff. The check-in was a nightmare. We had requested a ground floor room due to one disabled person in the party. We wrote to them twice and did not get an answer. On check-in, the guy showed us an apartment on the "ground floor" - a flight of stairs, 10 steps up. After a lot of deliberation and back and forth we got a room accessible without stairs. Then he claimed we had only paid one of two rooms despite everything was prepaid. Another half hour back and forth and consulting the management. Finally, lots of things not working (faucets running, heating controls broken, dryers missing from the wall fixings, handle for the window missing, etc etc etc).
Also the waitresses in the restaurant was completely overworked as there was only one for a big restaurant. The poor girl worked her backside off and did an excellent job but every other restaurant would have had 4 waitresses for the same size. Complements to her for managing still!!!
I like the property and setting. I also love access to the lake with canoes and kayaks.
The breakfast was repetitive. I stayed in the 4th floor section that was exhausting to climb the stairs. I would not recommend it to anyone who is not in peak physical shape. The trains that blow their horn. It's loud and not necessary. Through all hours of the night.
Beautiful beach, room was quite comfortable, food in the restaurant was good. We were only there briefly for a wedding in Parry Sound. We didn't really get to appreciate everything they had to offer.

Nice location
After driving 3 hours we arrived to be informed that the local railroad crossing was to be closed the next day from 7-2 basically leaving us with no option but to get up at 5:30 grab a fast breakfast and leave before being trapped or wait until 2pm to leave.
When we asked if we could get a 1pm instead of 11am check out due to the inconvenience we were told in no uncertain terms that the cleaning staff had to prepare for the next day’s guests.
We decided to go early ruining our day and leaving a bad taste for the venue.
One bright note, their chef created the best French onion soup I have ever tasted being a world traveller…even better than the Bombay Bicycle Club!
I'm so happy we found this place! the view from the restaurant, the lake, the beach, the pool! we had a really great time! so close to Parry Sound with all the shops and things to explore. we are definitely coming back!!!
there are no hiking trails if that's your thing, you will need to drive a little.

We stopped in for an overnight stay on the first day of a road trip.
A cold, windy mid-week April, but our room was cozy and bright.
We enjoyed dinner and breakfast the next morning before hitting the road.

Given the month, the weather was not great. The hotel cannot change that. The hotel is in rural area, so internet access is not the best. Good enough for emal, etc, but maybe not streaming.
Beautiful location and great amenities at the hotel. Enjoyed the sauna, pool, and kayaks for the lake! Food at the restaurant was amazing for dinner. Good selection at breakfast. Would’ve loved to have been able to stay longer.
When we arrived told dinner needed reservations and only had late times available. Weren’t able to eat until around 9pm. Would’ve been good to be told this when you make the booking.

The bathrooms def need updated and some seats on pool need replaced, bottom of them were all rusted and broken
I like location, the lake is nice and beach is well maintained. There were several kayals that guests could use. The breakfast waas good and dinner at the restaurant was excellent.
