Hotel was very nice but very noisy late in the evening.
Pros:

The hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. The location was great with restaurants and shops close by.

Cons:

The hotel was very noisy with a rowdy group next to our room partying past 11:00 PM.

Good location. Clean modern hotel. Valet parking. Spacious bathroom. Clean and adequate size room.

Cons:

Small indoor pool. Breakfast was fair.Beds were not overly comfortable and pillows were not firm. AC unit was a little noisy.

Breakfast very poor. Cutlery plastic snd paper plates and bowls. Cutlery kept snapping

Daughter was put in room next to generator which was incredibly noisy.

Pillows were shocking. Really lumpy as if they had been washed badly. Really bad neck as a result. Beds were hard.

Good location right in the heart of downtown.
Pros:

Modern hotel well located right in downtown Portsmouth, near restaurants and shops.
Parking, like the Residence Inn across the street, is expensive. You can park on streets from 8 pm until 9 am for free but it is pay parking with QR code on sign in daytime.
Better to use the Foundry garage a block away in daytime at $1 an hour.

Clean rooms. Free breakfast was ok. Overcooked scrambled eggs are typical in warming trays but there was no frittata omelet alternative. There was no bacon, but biscuits and gravy were a difference, I thought I was in Texas. Coffee was ok in carafes, but previously at Holiday Inn Express in Wells, Maine, they had a machine that ground fresh beans for each cup. Time for Hampton and Marriott to step up with the coffee, just sayin....

Pros:

Extremely dog friendly, and great location, location, location!
Pros:

Super nice front desk staff, advised on street parking to allow us to save $45 for valet. Also allowed for a flexible check out time due to weather. Extremely nice staff. Coffee/water all the time. They provided umbrellas. Quiet location walkable to everything. Standard free hotel breakfast.

Cons:

Pool was not enticing as it was small and crowded.

Very clean. Staff was exceptional.

Cons:

Unfortunately, there was an issue at 4am with a person who broke into a space and proceeded to make unacceptable comments over the fire alarm system. This caused panic throughout the entire hotel. My wife had a full blown panic attack that ruined the evening.
