Not good but staff is kind

Staff are very polite

Cons:

There is no toothbrush or hair dryer, the refrigerator is broken, the quilt smells musty, very amateurish and casual

Visited the property and refused to stay as the swimming pool was out of action and seems it has been for quite some tim
Pros:

nothing as photo showed a swimming pool which was out of service, we had to pay online to secure the room in advance and didn’t even stay. And after many requests for a refund no one has contacted us. Has caused us major issues as we had to pay again for another hotel.

Cons:

All as above, sold us false information regarding the facilities and still waiting for a refund after numerous emails. This is totally unprofessional on both sides, Booking. com and the owner, but no one seems to care or wants to help. Just taking the money and run.

Where is the hotel?
Pros:

We'd made a reservation at Villa Lamai, a hotel that doesn't exist anymore. It turned out that now a days the hotel is called Wong Amat house.

So we had problems with finding the hotel.
The taxidriver dropped us of in front of the wrong hotel, luckily it was nearby our hotel.

Then we tried to find Villa Lamai. A friendly local didn't know the name, but tried to help us anyway. We actually stood in front of the wong amat house, but they told us that we were at the wrong adress.
So we procceeded searching for the hotel.
After one hour walking in the burning sun, with 3 suitcases (also uphill) and a couple of phonecalls we found out that we should've been at wong amat house.
The people who owned wong amat house didn't know that we made a reservation at their hotel, the name villa lamai was unfamilliar to them.

Then they made a mistake, the gave us the wrong room. The next day they told us that they'd accidentally given us a more expensive room. They wanted us to pay more or move to a smaller room. They let us have the same room for the same price when we said that we'd go to another hotel.

At least.. The wifi didn't work in our room most of the time.
