The location was perfect, enabling us to walk across the bascule bridge into town. The Shipwright's Daughter for dinner and breakfast was excellent and our overall experience couldn't have been better.

Pros:

Wonderful, informative staff who gave the history of the hotel and provided extensive local advice. Very good location in the heart of the town. Nice restaurant attached, good food.

Cons:

The hotel is on the old and musty side, if you're very aware of scents it can feel distinctly dank.

Fantastic location. Great for a quick weekend break. Highly recommend.
Pros:

Fantastic location. Lovely room with good facilities. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The front porch was a great place to people-watch with a glass of wine in the evening. There were free homemade cookies in the afternoon and coffee and tea available all day.
