Pros:

Nix höchstens die Lage. Man kann zu Fuß die Restaurants besuchen.

Cons:

Alles in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr,sehr hellhörig. Wir haben jeden Schritt/Gespräche im Nebenzimmer und im Zimmer über uns gehört.
Frühstück war nix. Kleines Zimmer zum Frühstücksraum umfunktioniert.
Für den Preis kann man viel mehr erwarten.
Wir nehmen kein Super 8 mehr.

Loved the location and amenities, but the service experience was mixed.
Pros:

Overall, our stay was decent. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with both a refrigerator and microwave, which was very convenient. The pool area was clean and spacious, and we especially enjoyed having access to the hot tub. The hotel's location was also a major plus, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and other attractions along the main street in Hill City.

Cons:

Late-night check-in was an interesting experience. I had to call because the front desk was unattended when I arrived. The employee who answered was very quiet, making it difficult to hear and communicate over the phone. When he eventually came down to let me into the building, he appeared very tired, as though he had just woken up. Unfortunately, the lack of communication continued throughout the entire check-in process.

Breakfast was also disappointing. The pancake machine was empty when we arrived, and it was never refilled during the breakfast service. In general, the breakfast area was not consistently stocked, which left guests with limited options.

Housekeeping is poor.

Front desk staff were great.

Cons:

While my reservation with Booking.com and the staff at Super 8 have been great, my rooms were not. The first room I was given was not made up at all and the second room when I pulled open the sheets, I found the sheets soiled and slept in. The front desk was already closed for the night, luckily the second bed was fine. I talked to the front desk this morning, they said to ask for a refund through booking.com and it would be approved.

Hill City Super 8
Pros:

They don’t call this the Heart of the hills for no reason that’s for sure. The locals here are above and beyond in the spirit of goodwill once you break the ice and get to know them. Very friendly and informative. We were here a week after taking the 1880 train last visit while staying in Keystone, SD. We really fell in love with this small City and the people here. The Super 8 is just a perfect location within what I call the town of Hill City. The pool and hot tub are wonderful, love the floor and stone work on the walls. The breakfast-continental is just what you need to get started each day. The rooms are very nice with local art work. Ours had the 1880 Train and the Needles mountains really nice. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are very clean as are the linen and bathrooms. Great service to keep it nice while here too. I highly recommend Nana’s kitchen across the street for breakfast too! Stacey and Rene and Michelle and Jenna and the excellent chefs do a wonderful job and have a great menu for a full breakfast. The staff here at the Suoer 8 work tirelessly to make sure travelers/visitors are taken care of at all times. We had a wonderful view of the Black Hills and felt the beauty and spirit of this wonderful city and the beautiful souls that make it what it is! You should absolutely come and visit that’s for sure! Come and see for yourself
