Don’t stay here. False advertising and unsafe.
Pros:

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Do not recommend. The door has no deadbolt key and no indoor lock on the door. The latch was taken off of the door and anyone could easily pick the lock as it’s a standard doorknob from Bunnings. Was advertised as private entrance with a sofa and on the ground floor and it was not. Absolutely falsely advertised and unsafe. And when I asked for a refund they said they could downgrade me (for free) to a smaller room and bed and it potentially had a lock. There was also drunk and high people roaming around the place. Be very wary before booking. If you’re a lone traveller I would definitely NOT recommend. I also believe it’s a breach potentially for fire safety and not compliant with regulations. I asked the staff member if she would feel safe staying here alone and she couldn’t answer me which told me I made the right decision leaving. They then marked me as a no show and are refusing to refund.

A One night stay at the Deveraux
Pros:

The Location close to City center. Ample parking. Premises comfortable and tidy. Mangerese was pleasant and obliging. Provided information about transport options .Other guest were quiet .Rooms sound proof and a Room with a View.

Friendly staff, great value. My go-to for work trips
Pros:

Friendly, generous staff who go out of their way for regulars. Great value, easy check-in, comfortable for a work stay.

Cons:

Rooms are dated with some wear and tear (fittings, sockets, shower head). Doesn’t bother me at all, but worth knowing if you're expecting fully modern.

Solid three stars, but not four.
Pros:

Great location. Clean. Tidy. Big main room. It’s a beautiful building and the aesthetic is lovely.

Cons:

Tiny bathroom. Major internet issues. No toaster. Leaking shower. Broken blinds; maintenance is definitely needed. The downstairs eating area is no longer in use: used for storage and the signage has been taped over. The strangest thing; if you broke a coat hangar, it would cost you $5 to replace - even though they were the coat hangers that Kmart use to stock their clothes!
