Very disappointing experience – serious cleanliness issues

Unfortunately, our stay at St. George Inn & Suites was extremely disappointing, especially when it came to cleanliness.
When we opened one of the drawers in our room, we found a condom without its wrapper inside. It did not appear to have been used (although, obviously, we weren’t going to inspect it), but finding something like this in a hotel room is completely unacceptable and immediately made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned.
We went straight to reception to report it. Their response was that they would send someone the following day. The problem is that we were only staying for one night, so this was no solution at all. What surprised us even more was that they didn’t offer to change our room, send someone to clean it immediately, or provide any other alternative.
On top of that, the bathroom sink had hairs from previous guests, which only reinforced the impression that the room had not been properly cleaned before our arrival.
