Bedroom was spacious with large well equipped bathroom. Bed comfy. Great location with 10 minutes walk to town.
Excellent breakfast. Very clean and staff lovely.
One minor point. Bathroom door squeaked loudly so whoever was sleeping was woken by other party going to the loo in the middle of the night. Minor point but easily fixed!
Upon arrival we were upgraded free of charge to the 'Tooty fruitie suite', oldly worldly with everything needed. We found the bed very comfortable and to our liking.
Staff greeting was very friendly. All staff were happy & smiley, looked and acted like they loved their jobs and took pride in it.
Situated 10 mins walk from York centre.
Lovely setting, dogs allowed, also a resident cat, 'Teddy' who sank quietly into the background.
Lovely garden with seating areas.
Car parking (first come, first serve) is a bonus, on street parking if no spaces available.
Breakfast was 10/10.
We only stayed for 1 night , wish it was longer, we will definitely be returning. 😁
Nothing 😁
Ubicación y jardín
No tenía aire acondicionado, habitación muy calurosa
The room was wonderful, we had the balcony room absolutely gorgeous. Sat in the morning with my cup of tea ☕️.
Cameron on reception was such a star ⭐ showed us around the hotel and then to our room.didn’t eat or drink there just enjoyed York, but we will definitely be back as we want to do the ghost walk, an amazing hotel and an amazing city, thankyou, Hotel Clementine 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Style of the old building
Przepiekny pokój, nieskazitelnie czysto, pyszne sniadanie, parking na miejscu, bardzo miła obsługa:)
Wszystko było na wysokim poziomie.
staff were very friendly and helpful. room was quirky in it's layout (sloped ceiling) and the design /decor was nice
sloped ceiling made it a little small in feel, number of staircases and doors to get to room but appreciate they are limited with old buildinng

Deco breakfast
No cooling in a heatwave but difficult to plan for that
It was like walking into a beautiful Alice in Wonderland scenery. Very good breakfast. Had a nice drink in the garden. Short walk to city centre.
Breakfast was delicious, perfect portion sizes. The staff were well informed and attentive and kind. Everything was beautifully clean. We also met Teddy the hotel cat who is a very sweet and affectionate cat, despite his grumpy face. The hotel is beautiful on the inside and out and is a lovely place to take a break. It took about 20 minutes to walk into York from the hotel.
The parking charge is a very minor issue - I think this should be rolled in with the cost of the room.
Good location, quirky decor, friendly staff.
Price per night for a delux room is perhaps a bit high considering you also have to pay £15 a day for parking. We stayed during the heatwave and whilst we knew the hotel does not have aircon, the bedroom was stifling hot and we struggled to sleep. The fan provided made little difference. The weather is of course not the hotel’s fault but the rooms are probably hot anyway during the summer, so something to note if you struggle to sleep in a warm bedroom.
