The location was great with easy access to public transport and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and spa were great and my massage fantastic. The breakfast was fantastic: good choice of quality food and fresh fruit. The beds were really comfortable.
I have nothing to say about the property itself but the staff could have confirmed the easy access to public transportation. Instead they talked about Hop on and Hop off bus which was expensive for what it was and we had to wait a long time to catch the bus back. We also did a private chauffeur trip which was nice but rather expensive. Public transport gets you everywhere and Uber taxis are extremely cheap. I highly recommend Uber.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Hotel PortoBay Liberdade. It was the final stop on our honeymoon and the staff made it incredibly special after we let them know in advance. On arrival we were welcomed with a lovely bottle of champagne and sweet treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. The service throughout our stay was impeccable — genuinely warm, attentive, and consistent. Our room was cleaned multiple times a day and always kept in perfect condition. Breakfast had a great selection and was a highlight each morning. We also really enjoyed the facilities, especially the pool and sauna, which made it feel like a true retreat. The hotel’s location in a leafy, quieter part of the city felt peaceful, safe, and perfect for unwinding after busy days exploring.
Nothing at all — everything exceeded our expectations.
