Breakfast was fine, location great. Shower was excellent.
Just one small niggle, toilet seat not fitted properly.
The property is in a very good location. All the staff (specially the girls at the restaurant/bar) were really nice and friendly.
The bed was extremely soft, which made it impossible to sleep well or wake up without pain. The room was also extremely hot, as the windows could only be opened a small amount. That said, the staff were really kind and friendly, and they provided additional fans, which we appreciated.

Room very hot in the morning but it was during the June 2026 heat wave.
From the outside you wonder what you have booked . Once inside everything is clean and modern . Room very nicely decorated with fabulous bathroom . Fan provided for heat.
A lot of hills to climb up and down to the water front but that’s not the hotels fault . No restaurant open in the evening. Nearby Parking difficult in the end we payed to stay in a car park. .

Great location, although an incline walk to get to it from the railway station (if you’re not prepared to walk up hills or steps you shouldn’t be in Whitby anyway!)
Lovely hotel, in a good area for local bars and restaurants.
There was nowhere to sit outside and relax inside when breakfast was being served. We asked if we could sit at our breakfast table after our breakfast, to read the paper and do the crossword. We were told to come back at 10.30 when breakfast was finished.

Frat food and staff the food was delivered super fast too and extra tea was given to us when we asked for milk with no issues. The breakfast room was decorated nicely and was cool.
The only thing I didn’t like and this is not the fault of the hotel or its staff one of the residents was very rude and aggressive to us when we parked in the w zone which meant I needed to move my car
The admiral suite is absolutely brilliant ❤️ Shame the bath isn't a spa bath any more however still a fantastic room to book and stay in views are amazing over Whitby!
Bathroom is stunning and decorating is too a high standard 😍 Bed is extremely comfy and very spacious! Bathtub at the end of the bed is plenty big enough for 2 people really nice room. Breakfast was lovely cooked for you and brought out to you hot!
Now food cooked in the evenings on Mondays and Tuesdays just so that anyone booking knows this foe future reference as we didnt at the time of our stay however you will not go hungry in whitby plenty of good places to eat
Lift was pretty slow so sometimes abit of a pain...
Bath tub in the kingsize deluxe room was stunning with TV in bathroom however bathroom was very small...
Tv's are very limited with channels also which can be annoying after a long day out and all you want to do is unwind with a few drinks and some TV
.. Maybe add the Netflix option to ALL your TV's would be much better...
Friendly staff. Lovely decor. Good facilities. Great breakfast.
Not having a parking space guaranteed was a bit of a worry.
