Die Lage ist gut.

Cons:

Alles etwas schmuddelig und in die Jahre gekommen.
Im Untergeschoss ist eine Bar und Freitag Abend Livemusik bis nachts um 1:00 Uhr. Sehr laut.

Excellent service from all the staff at restaurant and bar

Breakfast and dinner brilliant
Restaurant very busy -locals must enjoy the food as well from here
Service excellent from all the staff especially Steph at reception who couldn’t have been more helpful and cheerful-nothing was too much trouble for her

Cons:

Didn’t like the stairs to the room when leaving the lift but I should have advised before hand or at check that stairs are a bit much for me
Managed fine though for the couple of days

An average pub stay.
Pros:

Location and small village atmosphere.

Cons:

Though clean, the room was small and outdated. A coat of paint would work wonders. Even with the window closed, noise from outside building units was constant at night.

Cons:

The room was so dusty it was clear that it has not been cleaned properly in a long time (Room 10). All the tea cups at breakfast were all dirty on both mornings. Was unable to park in the car park as it was full.

The manager at the hôtel made our stay mémorable although the venue was miserable

Stay at the Royal Hotel. Cumnock.
Pros:

We had a wonderful spacious room overlooking thr Town Square. The decor on the room was a tiny but dated but nothing at all to be bothered about. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant, and the full Scottish breakfast was really excellent.

Cons:

Being a small town hotel, the hotel has a lively bar popular with locals, (we stayed on a Friday night) so just to be aware for travellers looking for complete quiet in the earlier evening, you might be able hear some of the festivities until the bar closes, after which things were very quiet. Not a problem for us, but it's worth being aware of it.

Breakfast was lovely, had a meal in the restaurant the night we arrived also which was really nice, staff was more than accommodating for my disabled mother when i asked for a more accessible room on arrival… overall we had an enjoyable, clean and comfortable stay & would definitely recommend.
