Pros:

Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich bin zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel gewesen.Das Personal ist sehr
freundlich und bei allen Angelegenheiten jeder Zeit hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, da hat die Zimmerservice ganz besonderen Lob verdient. Der Pool ist auch sehr schön und sauber.
Die Lage ist sehr gut,in der Nähe vom Strand 2 Minuten zu Fuß. Ich muss sagen,dass auch die Zeit vom Nebenseason könnte ich genießen.
Ich konnte mich gut entspannen und die Zeit genießen. Ich komme gerne wieder und kann das Hotel für Alleinreisende,Paare und Familien sehr empfehlen.

Excellent choice for anyone wanting to see the south coastline
Pros:

Staff were all so friendly and helpful great location for that short stay touring trip or longer
Gillip there local Tuk Tuk driver is fantastic and will take you anywhere and even suggests other places you may like great value for money and very polite
Having been to Sri Lanka numerous times over the years this place is a real gem so glad we stayed there

Cons:

There’s nothing not to like other than mosquitoes

Pros:

Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das gebuchte Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich.

Cons:

Ich habe De Luxe Zimmer gebucht und Standard Zimmer bekommen. Diese waren zwar sauber aber von DeLuxe keine Spur.
Die Eigentümer mit Familie wohnten nebenan und die Wäsche wurde am Poolbereich zum trocknen aufgehängt.

Nettes kleines Hotel in einzigartiger Strandlage. Am Strand hoteleigene Liegen vorhanden.
Pros:

Tolle Lage, einzigartiger Strand, der Weg dorthin (hoteleigener Weg ca.50m) ein Erlebnis. Das Hotel hat einen ausgesprochenen Charme, allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen, es dürfte mal wieder etwas investiert werden. Andererseits auch recht preiswert!

Cons:

Das Frühstück ist wenig abwechslungsreich und nach einer Woche hat man den Eierschock! Es fehlt ein Müsli im Angebot.

Lovely last stay mostly spent in the hotel next door sorry guys!
Pros:

Our room was lovely and comfortable and was located on the beach

Cons:

The sunbed situation is bad they are mostly broken with only 4 umbrellas in use . There is a covered area but it is far back and all huddled together it’s horrible. We ended up paying to use the sunbeds in the Amal hotel next door as they had lovely beds and we ate there 4 out of 6 nights too! There is no ambience in the wunderbar restaurant and smoking is allowed which if you are a non smoker having people even at breakfast smoking is not for us. There is no smoking in the hotel restaurant next door and the food and music was so nice. You could easily change things to make it nicer wunderbar! You have lovely staff you just need a bit of TLC and a rethink . Our fridge was so old and rusty and the shower black mould which is easily removed with the right products .

The proximity to where we were visiting, the lady at reception very kind and helpful :)

Cons:

There was a very tired, depressed feel to the place, we all had not a good vibe. The room itself is very spacious and has some good qualities, however the functioning of the hotel is very strange. Super loud disco music until 1am, rats or animals in the walls? The facilities are in dire need of care and attention. So many broken, old, tired elements around. Some staff were cheerful and wonderful though

Pros:

Ein absoluter toller Strandabschnitt von Bentota den man fast für sich alleine hat.Das Hotel hat ein schönes und gutes Restaurant mit Meerblick. Die Zimmer bieten alles was man braucht und tägliche Reinigung. Der Pool ist auch super.

Cons:

Das Badkonzept!Es ist immer überschwemmt und trocknet nie ganz auf
Wirklich leise ist es wegen der Bahn und nahen Küstenstrasse auch nicht.

Malheureusement pas grand chose, à part la plage, mais ce n'est pas grâce à l'hôtel

Cons:

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans cet hôtel et honnêtement , j'aimerais pouvoir dire que c'était une expérience. " authentique". Si l'authenticité signifie une chambre sale, vétuste et une salle de bain qui semble sortie d'un musée des horreurs, alors oui, c'était très "local". L'odeur de moisissure était tellement présente qu'elle aurait mérité sa propre réservation. Tous nos vêtements en sont repartis parfumés " humidité stagnante" une fragrance que personne n'avait demandée. Le prix, lui, en revanche, était parfaitement moderne. Dommage que les chambres ne suivent pas la même logique. Les photos que je joins parleront mieux que moi : elles devraient être utilisées dans les manuels de formation rubrique " ce qu'il ne faut jamais faire". Et pour rester cohérent, le repas et le petit déjeuner étaient dans la même lignée.

Stayed 23 nights – truly exceptional long-stay experience!
We spent an amazing 23 nights at this hotel and it exceeded all our expectations. This is genuinely one of the few hotels in the area with its own private beach, and what makes it stand out even more is how well-maintained it is – the beach is cleaned daily, which is rare here and made every day feel perfect and relaxing.
The room was cleaned thoroughly every single day, always spotless with fresh towels and everything in order. For such a long stay, the room itself was a big highlight: large, spacious, bright, and most importantly – very quiet. No noise from the road or the nearby railway, which allowed us to truly unwind.
Breakfasts were outstanding – delicious variety, high quality, and they really took an individual approach to every guest, remembering preferences and making sure everything was just right.
Every single staff member was wonderful: friendly, polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. You could feel the warmth and professionalism in every interaction.
A special thank you to the owner/manager – when our flight was unexpectedly rescheduled, they kindly allowed us a late checkout until 21:00 with no extra charge at all. That kind of flexibility and understanding made our departure stress-free and left us with the best final impression.
If you're looking for a peaceful, well-run beach hotel with excellent service for an extended stay, this place is highly recommended. We would happily return!

service at the beach from Sumutu was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros:

Hôtel simple mais agréable. Très belles piscines. La plage infinie bien entretenue. Sumudu merveilleux, toujours présent pour tous les besoins. Sa gentillesse et son sourire rendent l’endroit encore plus beau. La mer belle mais toujours agitée. Les chambres spacieuses et le lit très confortable.
