Secteur sympa mais hôtel décevant

Emplacement et personnel Sympa

Cons:

Premier problème : la « suite » vendue pour 4 personnes avec une chambre et un salon est en réalité une grande pièce très largement ouverte. Pour un couple voyageant avec deux adolescentes, ce n’est pas adapté : bruit, télévision, sommeil… tout se passe pratiquement dans le même espace. Le canapé-lit était par ailleurs particulièrement inconfortable.

Deuxième problème : le petit-déjeuner inclus était franchement indigne du standing et du prix de l’établissement. Très peu de choix, qualité médiocre et installation minimale. Je regrette de ne pas avoir pris de photo tant c’était surprenant. D’autres avis récents semblent d’ailleurs faire le même constat.

Enfin, l’insonorisation côté rue était insuffisante et le bruit nous a également gênés.

Le plus décevant reste que nous estimons que ces problèmes n’ont pas été réellement pris au sérieux par le manager et l’hôtel malgré nos démarches.

Le secteur est agréable, mais après cette expérience, je conseillerais de comparer attentivement : nous avons vu d’autres hôtels dans le quartier, à des tarifs sensiblement équivalents, qui nous auraient probablement mieux convenu.

Nous ne reviendrons pas.

No insulation in the room, noise from outside and room above was overwhelming.

The bread/bagels/pastry at the $19 breakfast was fresh a week ago.

The property is in an industrial area.

Schönes, sauberes und gemütliches Hotel mit guter Lage – lediglich mein Zimmer nahe der Rezeption war etwas zu laut.
Pros:

Das Zimmer hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war sehr sauber, gemütlich und komfortabel, und ich habe mich dort wohlgefühlt. Auch die Lage des Hotels fand ich gut und praktisch, um Brooklyn und New York zu erkunden.

Cons:

Mein Zimmer lag im Erdgeschoss direkt in der Nähe der Rezeption. Dadurch war es leider recht hellhörig, und besonders abends war die Musik aus dem Rezeptionsbereich deutlich im Zimmer zu hören. Für Gäste, die Ruhe brauchen, würde ich daher ein Zimmer in einer höheren Etage empfehlen.

Pros:

It’s next to my daughters apartment I like the rooms and how convenient it is to get coffee in the morning in the hotel and how close it is to restaurants etc . The staff is great! I love that they give you water

Cons:

I like everything. I do think it would be helpful if there was another mirror in the room other than the bathroom for two people to get ready. Simple fix.

Could not sleep inspite of spending so much money
Pros:

Staff was courteous

Cons:

Couldn’t sleep because of the noise coming from our room on Norman Avenue. Traffic noise. Garbage pickup noise and the guests on the floor above us could be heard even when they walked in their room. Bad sound proofing. Horrible floor noise.

Great staff, great rooms but breakfast disappointing.
Pros:

The staff were super friendly, couldn't do enough to help. Always there with bottled water. Rooms were large and comfortable

Cons:

The breakfast was poor. Loads of pastrys but little else. Needs a fresh fruit salad and something cooked. Very disappointing. We ate out 2 of our 4 days.

An all-round great stop for a visit to NYC and a moment of quiet and calm as you enter!
Pros:

An impressive hotel with exceptional staff who were attentive right from the beginning. Having stayed in Manhattan last year coming to the quieter district of Brooklyn was a wonderful choice.
The hotel is a clean, modern hotel with pieces of art adorning the walls, fresh flowers and a welcome from all the staff on reception. The theme of the hotel was carried on into our room which was large, spacious and complete with everything we would need from toiletries, hairdryer, kettle, food, fridge, sofa and wonderful linens and towels.

Cons:

There really wasn't anything to not like.
