Pros:

Super clean, either pretty new or renovated hotel, we enjoyed our stay (was just a short stop for us on the way to Kelowna). The train tracks are right outside the hotel, but they considerately give you ear plugs.

Cons:

The only thing that was a bit annoying was AC-it’s sooooo loud! You cannot decrease the speed, it’s either on or off, and without it being on it gets hot really fast. But again, they give you ear plugs :)

We only write a bad review in extremely rare circumstances, and this one is to express our disappointment for the lack of consideration of government warnings towards customer’s health and to ask Booking.com to offer a clarification on whether their policies are designed towards cancellations within customer’s control vs. the encountered situation. As we described, we were in Kalispell with “very unhealthy” indicators affecting our breathing and would have to go through a few more days of “very unhealthy” to “hazardous” areas to arrive to your hotel, which would not be feasible. Your hotel representatives brought up the fact that guests continued to arrive which was not an acceptable response as this may have been due to lack of an alternative option or ignorance. Your business approach to this cancellation request under the circumstances was disrespectful to government warnings and travelers who kindly asked for an exception to a policy from booking.com that is designed around cancellations under travelers control, NOT when government warnings show “very unhealthy” or “hazardous” air conditions to for 3-4 days to get to you.
