The rooms at Canavans are absolutely spotless, with lots of room and good facilities. Beds were very comfortable, food was excellent in the restaurant, however the main strength of Canavans is definitely the wonderful staff. Extremely helpful, kind and professional, they really take care of you.
In my opinion the only thing Canavans could improve on is updating the rooms. They are large, spotless and well appointed, however could be doing with being updated. However, that being said, it most definitely would not stop us from staying there again.
Nice big rooms and bathroom with bath and nice hot powerful shower. Lovely restaurant with great food all day. Easy parking. Good TV with Netflix etc. Fast wi-fi. Recommended.

Its very run down. Needs a lot of attention, food is alright, not the best, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Service is a bit slow.

i am actually from this area originally but live in scotland the past 35 years , stayed here to visit friends!
My goodness it’s absolutely amazing,i stayed in room 112 … amazing!!! Staff are so friendly, hotel very clean, great parking, good value, i didn’t eat here as i was catching up with school friends so ate at their homes . This is definitely where i will be staying in the future , many thanks to all the wonderful staff .

The person working reception was very nice. We arrived after the restaurant closed but he called a local pizza place for us to make sure they were still open. Then he walked us to our room and carried our heavy suitcase for us up the stairs. He was very friendly. The bed was so comfortable...firm yet soft. Had the best sleep of my trip on this bed. The shower water pressure was outstanding. The breakfast was good and the server was chatty and very nice. We had a great conversation with her.
Can't think of a thing except that maybe wish the restaurant was open later.
Room location foid all great but its the staff particuarly the manager was exceptionally welcoming and pleasant nothing was too much really recommend place
