Wonderful Hotel set in beautiful grounds. Great bar and restaurant food was 10/10.

Great location and quiet surroundings
As with most uk accommodation no summer bedding so too hot at night during heatwaves
Room vary comfortable spacious clean ironing board and hairdryer tea and coffee in room vary relaxing
Self service breakfast was cold and not great on Saturday but rest of stay breakfast was on a menu order what you prefer

Lovely Hotel and my room was huge and very nice.
Breakfast waiter was absent for quite a while whenI arrived for breakfast so took longer than it should to order my breakfast choice but when it came it was good quality and very nice.
A historic house in a quiet town near Bedford. The interior had been renovated fairly recently. Spacious and comfortable room. Good freshly cooked breakfast. The dinner at the restaurant was also good with reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff.

Hotel and rooms were very dated. Very few staff on duty and those that were around were not very helpful.
I stayed in one of the cottage rooms which are in a separate building.
They are a little dated , but perfectly clean and tidy.
I ate dinner and breakfast on all 3 days and cannot fault it.
Plus the beer is good and the staff friendly,

Nothing really, if you stay in the cottage please close the outer door carefully and don’t let it slam.
We were in the main block so it was interesting to explore - there could have been more information about its history. The room was basic but that is what we had booked
It was very hot and there was no air con in the room but staff kindly let us sit in the conservatory which did have it. THe hotel couldn't help it being the hottest day of the year!
Classical old building, breakfast was good.
We were married there many years ago. It has changed hands a couple of times since. For us, it’s just tired in comparison.
