Hellaby Hall is such a hidden gem! The heritage building that hosts the bar, reception and rooms is beautiful to explore. Loved the surrounding outside areas full of rabbits, staff were amazing, everywhere was very clean, rooms were nice and well facilitated (the room was very hot when we arrived but there was a fan in the room that we used), overall really loved our stay. And the fact that you have access to the pool with your booking is great, we went for a swim, enjoyed the sauna and steam room, and will definitely be back.
The only issue is that I struggled to get a member of staff at the reception when it was later in the night, but understandably they were busy in another area of the hotel, and after going to the bar to ask for someone to come to the desk, they were more than happy to help.
Gym facilities were good
Tv didnt work in the room.
Perfect location and facilities great
Service at the restaurant could have been better
The reception staff were amazing, thank you
My room tv signal kept going off so I couldn’t watch tv my smoke alarm kept flashing and to top it off noisy guests all early hours
The staff were amzeing couldn't do enough for you
I purposefully searched for a hotel with a large free standing bath. The photo of the suite I booked showed this. When I I arrived and was given my room it did not have this and I was told the photos are generic. I was told it was my responsibility to have specified what I wanted. I feel it is dishonest and actually a scam to do that. I would not have chosen this hotel if I could not have had that facility. I had to fight very hard to even get an apology. With all sorts of excuses like the manager is on holiday so there is no one I can speak to. It wasn't good enough really.
