Lovely hotel
Pros:

The whole place was amazing and the wedding I attended was beautiful and managed by the staff perfectly

Cons:

The only downside was my room was next to the cleaning cupboard and from early in the morning I was woken up by noise. As someone with anxiety after having a bad experience at another hotel (unrelated) having people right outside the room and loud made sleeping in past 7/8 difficult.

Superior Disappointment
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly.
Location and the setting was very beautiful.

Cons:

I pre booked his months ago. 2 superior rooms.
All I asked, could one be close to the entrance and possibly on the ground floor as my mother walks with a cane. What I got was 1 upstairs in the hotel at the very end of the passage, and the other was a in the lodges and was the last one, furthest from the reception and upstairs.
When I queried this at check in the woman on duty was abrupt and I thought rude ( she has no place at front of house ) and said they were all booked up and this was what we were given.
Also both rooms were completely different. Same room booked, Superior rooms.
The room in the hotel had a blocked sink, from when we checked in till we left. Even though it was reported, numerous times, bu was never fixed.
The room in the hotel was not that great, especially the mould on the windows.
I did express my disappointment to the on duty manger on checkout. Let's see what response I get. Still waiting....

A mixture of good and not so good points but adequate overall.
Pros:

Tasting menu was excellent. Large room. Clean. Magnificent building and grounds.

Cons:

No fridge in room. Lounge / dining room in the room seemed uneccessary. Parking was a good distance away from the room due to a wedding event. Basic buffet breakfast.

Underwhelming. Some staff training required.
Pros:

Setting is beautiful. Period building. Range of accommodation.

Cons:

Bathroom not upgraded as per photos of room type. Some staff a little apathetic - had to ask for drinks three times; told staff shortage so go to bar and collect yourself; parasol fabric lying on ground - nobody noticed or bothered or wanted to help when asked. Ended up helping them to do it ourselves.

Very enjoyable. Well looked after by staff and enjoyed lunch, dinner and breakfast in the hotel.
Pros:

Dinner was exceptional
Stayed at the hotel for my father’s 90th Birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were 9 in our party.
