Noisy. Dont stay if you want to sleep

The noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. There was loud music vibrating through our room most of the night. I was wearing earplugs and I could still hear it. I called reception at 11:30pm and was told they let a wedding go on late and it will be stopping soon. We should have been told this when we checked in and given the choice of a room further away. Then again at 1am more loud noise started which sounded like rumbling down a microphone. Again I called reception to ask them to sort it.
We raised it in the morning and asked for a discount on the stay seeing as we came to sleep and didn’t get any sleep. I was told the manager would contact me on Monday 6th and I’ve not heard anything. The person checking us out didn’t know what the noise was at 1am and seemed like he didn’t believe us. Whatever it was it was loud enough to be heard through earplugs and sleeping tablets! The checkout staff couldn’t care less. Not the experience I expect in a “5*” hotel.

Excellent as always
Pros:

Our 5th or 6th visit which I booked as part of a package to visit the Angler.

On check in we were upgraded to a better room, which was a nice touch!

Our package included a bottle of bubbly and £60 credit towards breakfast, as well as the 5 course Michelin * meal.

The modern trendy room was fantastic as always, clean, quiet and comfortable.

Location is great for the area around Liverpool St and exploring other bars and restaurants in the area.

Breakfast was tasty where we enjoyed avocado and poached eggs on toast with cappos and lattes.

No complaints at all 10/10 and we look forward to returning again shortly.

Lovely hotel experience

My stay at the South Place Hotel was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly especially Leo, Anhelina and Daria - Would 100% recommend to others they were incredibly helpful and happy to help me when needed. Looking forward to staying here again!

Brilliant 5 star experience
Pros:

Loved our 2 night stay in this hotel. Great location, It's right beside Liverpool St station and Moorgate station so if you're flying into Heathrow, you can get the Elizabeth line straight to the hotel. Staff are all excellent, room and bathroom is beautiful and really well equipped with high end equipment. Our package included a la carte breakfast which was amazing. We also had dinner in the casual restaurant Bluebird City which all 4 of us loved. The hotel also has a Michelin star restaurant The Angler. This hotel delivers everything you'd expect from a 5 star establishment. Just book it you won't be disappointed.

Charming Staff
Pros:

I stayed at South Place Hotel in order to visit a friend who lives nearby and who recently suffered a Stroke. It was a challenging visit for her and me!
The staff at Reception in South Place Hotel were completely charming.
Supportive and interested in the reason for my sojourn at the hotel. I had a delightful room. I will return! I wish all of you continued success. Daria, Angelina, Eliza & Kevin in Reservations.
