Family vacation
Pros:

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was fantastic to get to a lot of the prime sites of Ancient Rome. The breakfast was good, but the dining area was cramped and the outdoor terrace had bees in the mornings.

Badkamer van mijn kinderen hun kamer stonk enorm naar schimmel. Ook de airco deed het slecht daar. Gemeld, maar niet opgelost.

Once again a fabulous stay
Pros:

This was my third stay at Solotto Monti and once again it was truely memorable. Attentive staff, lovely breakfast, beautiful rooftop terrace, excellent location and comfortable bed.

Cons:

If there’s anything I would change it is the night stand lights in the room as they were too bright and not cosy enough. But that really isn’t a complaint but more of a suggestion.

Mochten we nogmaals naar Rome gaan, dan kiezen we wederom voor dit verblijf.
Pros:

Ideale locatie. Alles op loopafstand: 10-15 minuten naar Colosseum of Trevi fontein. Schoon en vriendelijk personeel. Prima ontbijt!

A good experience with super helpful and friendly staff
Pros:

Location is great - local facilities nearby and walking distance to the Roman Forum area. Breakfast was fine. Bed comfortable and room very clean. Shower was a good size.

Cons:

Small standard room is small, but manageable for a few days. A little overpriced

Ideal for a short break near major attractions.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good. Everything was very clean.

The location was ideal for sightseeing around Monti and the terrace was a lovely spot for breakfast.

Cons:

The setup in the building was unusual but we quickly got used to it.

The noise from other guests doors could be somewhat disruptive through the night.

Very disappointing stay - good location but poor room, facilities and service.
Pros:

Great location - walk from Rome central station and very easy walk to all of the main sites.

Nice roof terrace to enjoy the sun after a day of exploring the city.

Cons:

Felt more like a small B&B with tightly packed rooms rather than a nice hotel as expected.

Poor facilities - room door wouldn’t close properly, we spoke to staff member and they said it just had to be slammed shut. We were then told off by another staff member at a different time for doing so despite making it clear we had already raised this problem - this was rudely shrugged off.

Bathroom - shower had no curtain or door so it soaked the whole bathroom. Hole in tiles where shower gel holder had broken off but not replaced.

Noisy - store room next to room so we were woken by staff members. Poor soundproofing meaning you heard everything in the corridor including breakfast set up.

Cleanliness - could be improved. Bathroom had mouldy silicone that needed replacing, and wardrobe had litter left on the top. Clearly visible when walking down steps into room.

Breakfast - limited selection and was depleted after the first few guests and wasn’t replenished so we went without on two mornings. Not clear where tea or coffee could be made and wasn’t offered by staff. Breakfast itself located in a small corridor which meant only one person could access the buffet at any one time.

WiFi - weak and intermittent despite being close to reception.

Overall it felt quite poorly managed and mis-sold. We were left disappointed with our stay. Simple things were missed, i.e staff asking how our stay was when checking out, or saying hello when walking through reception.

This was an excellent choice to see all the major attractions in Rome!
Pros:

This was such a lovely experience! This sweet little hotel was filled with personal touches and just a joy to work with the receptionists. We were greeted with a hand written note acknowledging our anniversary and graduation and they even had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us! The real treat however was the rooftop patio which was a quiet retreat at the end of each long day. We didn’t get to eat the breakfast that was included in our rate since we left early each day, but take away boxes were offered instead. Such a nice touch! The building is old, but they have it updated very well. The air conditioning was not cold (by US standards) but we were still comfortable enough. This location was great-about 15 minutes walk to all the major attractions and Monti is a darling area that felt safe and fun! You can stay here without hesitation!

Pros:

The location was very easy to come and go from! The front desk employees were incredibly lovely and there is a very cute patio deck here. They greeted us with champagne because it was my birthday.

Cons:

The room was a bit smaller than what you would see in the U.S., but was very clean and comfortable.
