Beste Lage in Reykjavik
Personal sejhr unfreundlich. Lautes Dauergeräusch bzw..Brummen von Versorgungsleitungen des Hotels.
This could have been great. great location just off the docks in Reyjavik. But the hotel fails on so many levels. Old uncomfortable mattresses. Inadequate black out curtains. No air conditioning, so windows need to be open to the thump of music at weekends until 0400, and then bin collection from 0600. Oh, and if you want your room cleaned you need to ask........
We stayed at Hotel Apotek 5 nights in mid June. The room and public spaces were very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Outstanding breakfast buffet- always well stocked and extensive choices. Location is central and hard to beat-walking distance to all of the sites. Highly recommend.
Loved the location, staff were brilliant and room very comfortable
Almost no storage space in the room, just a few coathangers in the wardrobe.
Our stay at Reykjavik's Apotek Hotel was enjoyable, with a perfect location near restaurants and shops, and Luis (at the front desk) was very helpful in straightening out a taxi's failure to pick us up from the airport. Our room was fine, and the breakfast was great (although we wish it would open a half-hour earlier than 7:00 am). We loved the crisp bacon, the hotdogs, the pancakes/waffles, the pastries, and (especially!) the chocolate-filled donuts.
The staff in bar/restaurant was of a very high standard. The staff in resepsjon lacked a little bit charm, got the feeling they where more guards than service minded resepsjonists. Room was very nice. Location of the hotel is excellent.
Such a lovely hotel. The Apotek restaurant is amazing. This hotel is centrally located to everything in the town. Staff is amazing
Beautiful hotel whit restaurant
We ended up checking in to this lovely hotel three times during our journey through Iceland and loved it! The location is central in easy walking distance to all the major attractions. Even though it’s in the heart of the party district, the rooms were so quiet. We were never disturbed by all the people in the bars etc. outside.
The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. They could do with some more storage space as there’s really only a small wardrobe with a few coat hangers, so nowhere to unpack, but that was the only flaw.
Bed was comfortable with nice linen, great shower, and we highly recommend the restaurant: not cheap but Iceland is generally expensive, so it was about the same as others where we ate.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who were all so wonderful – Johann, Daniel, Luis, Emilija, Diana and probably others whose names I can’t remember. They were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty when I had a parcel delivered to the hotel that was inadvertently sent to the post office. The staff picked it up on our behalf or we would have missed it, so many thanks to you all, particularly Emilija, for all your help with that. It’s so appreciated.
If you are staying in Reykjavik, we highly recommend this fabulous hotel – you won’t be disappointed!
The hotel itself is lovely, and our first night (Thursday) was excellent. The room was comfortable, well-appointed, and we were very happy with our stay initially.
Unfortunately, everything changed on Friday evening. Around 6:00 PM, the noise from the pubs below became extremely noticeable in our room. We assumed it would quiet down later in the evening, but the music, heavy bass, and crowds of people outside continued well into the night. The bass vibration and noise from intoxicated patrons were so loud that sleeping became nearly impossible.
When I called the front desk to ask when the pubs closed, I was told that the noise could continue until approximately 4:00 AM. As a result, everyone in our room got only about four hours of sleep.
If you’re a heavy sleeper who plans to enjoy the nightlife, this may not be an issue. However, if you’re a light sleeper, traveling with children, or hoping for a restful weekend stay, I would strongly recommend requesting an interior-facing room or considering a DIFFERENT HOTEL ALL TOGETHER. The property itself is wonderful, but the weekend noise level is a significant drawback that prospective guests should be aware of.
The Apotek is a beautiful boutique hotel in the center of Reykjavik. It was easy to walk to the restaurants, bars, and attractions. There is a parking garage nearby (although it doesn't open until 7 am). The hotel is clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice shower with Molton Brown products. The breakfast had ample options to choose from, including eggs, bacon, and sausage.
Great location, nice property, fantastic front desk staff.
The room was very nice but was also small. Fortunately there was a closet to put my things into and park my suitcase because there was only room for one suitcase to be laid out flat to open. The buffet breakfast was included with our tour and it was very nice, with a huge selection of food. They were very helpful in storing our luggage after checkout until later in the day.
We stayed a couple extra days after our tour but chose not to add the breakfast because of the cost.
The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring all over Reykjavik. The staff is welcoming, professional and very pleasant. The room for a solo traveler was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone exploring Reykjavik for the first time and if I return, I'll definitely stay here again. There is a park across the street and near so many restaurants and shops. Loved having the food hall next door.
We enjoyed the hotel, its location, and especially the lovely breakfast each morning. We chose not to have daily housekeeping, and the room remained quite nice.
Wonderful hotel stay, walking distance to everything, great staff, comfortable rooms. Loved everything about it.
beautiful building, excellent restaurant, wonderful service. amenities were great - use of the gym and see in a neighbouring hotel worked very well
