Fantastic building, interior and grounds...just beautiful
Room was a little warm but staff had already reported to maintenance
The location was good for getting around Anglesey
The property was incredibly unclean and very tired. We had to drive to the local ASDA to buy cleaning products to clean the grime and filth from the ensuite bathroom before using it. Really struggled to see how this was a 4 star hotel.
The location was lovely, and the place was well sign posted and easy to find. The staff were very nice and helpful.
We had to book a time to go for breakfast we couldnt just turn up. The menu in the restraunt did not reflect the menu which was on line. The tv wasnt easy to use and very limited couldnt watch world cup matches.
Parking, walks around the grounds, food was OK
We found the hotel fell well below what a 4 star hotel should be. Our room was not clean, and had not been cleaned for some time, see enclosed photos. All public areas were needed a good hovering and dusting and general maintenance. No management visible during all our stay. Not enough household staff to maintain a hotel that claims to be 4 star. We checked out early as could not continue to stay.
Location and ambience
Evening menu choice somewhat limited
The staff were incredibly friendly from the welcome an arrival that set a high standard maintained throughout the stay. The food was exceptional, we had breakfast every day and we stayed for Dinner twice during the stay.
Beautifull hotel with friendly and helpful staff
The restaurant wasnt great
The breakfast choices were adequate, not stunning.
Consistent sizing of portions and quality of cooking.
The hotel staff were lovely very helpful. The grounds were very nice. Tbe rooms were quiet . Itcwas well sign posted and not difficult to find.
We didnt like the fact you had to book a time for breakfast. There were alot of stairs and no lift so we had to ask for a ground floor room and this room was superior in everyway to the first room the on libe nenu for the restraunt and the menu we were given when we went for a meal was totally different and we booked on the strength of the on line menu.
Comfortable bed, very good dinner / breakfast
Parts of the hotel a little tired. A bit more attention to detail, eg dusty tray in bedroom, cigarette ends in ashtrays on the ground in the outside sitting area, would have helped to realise this hotel's potential to be really lovely.
Everything
Breakfast wasn’t very good at this price.
The house was beautiful
It was very dated. Curtains were falling down, wallpaper was peeling & water stained. The bathroom needed a better clean
We had a fabulous stay the room was lovely, the spa facilities were good and the evening meal was amazing there wasn't really anything I could fault and we will definitely re book
The only thing we had a problem with was booking treatments in the spa but this may have been down to us booking last minute
Friendly well equipped venue
Staff very professionally helped us with my vegan diet, as options were available only in the lunch menu, but the receptionist assured us they would cook it for me for dinner time
Small fans available in the room helped with the heat
