Over night stay
Pros:

Lovely overnight stay after getting off the ferry from Ireland. They rang me just to make sure we were on our way just in case we were late. Very nice breakfast. Good nights sleep.

Lovely people, great location. Let down by untidiness, questionable cleanliness of rooms.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly apart from perhaps one receptionist who was on duty when we arrived. We were an hour earlier to the check in time to use the spa, as advertised. We felt like an inconvenience. Also the robes given to us were not folded or rolled and very thin.

Cons:

The spa including the pool temperature was rather cool.
The room wasn’t great with a badly damaged table and someone else’s hair in the draw where the hairdryer is housed.

We stayed in a room with the four poster, which was a huge room overlooking the front of the house, had a wonderful coup
Pros:

It’s an absolutely beautiful building set in a stunning location. The breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed using the spa

Cons:

Nothing. The building is looking a bit tired in places, but it’s to be expected with such a large property to maintain

Pros:

Très bel hôtel avec un personnel au petit soin. La chambre supérieure était gigantesque. On se serait cru dans un roman de Jane Austen .

Pros:

The pool

Cons:

The rudeness of staff, the run down dirty room. Couldn't even lock the door, had to lift the door to lock it. The room was not the same as the photo i booked. No cleaning service received, had to ask for clean towels and toilet roll. Spa treatment was also cancelled. Dirty water marks all over the toilet door. Can feel the buttons on the mattress.

Paperwork inside your room says, new towels and bedding every other day. But we didnt get it and when questioned they argued it and said the paperwork was wrong. Absolutely disgusting!!

They haven't even had the fire hose serviced!!
