When can I come back?!
Pros:

Just got back from a nights stay - we had to leave at 7am but I wish I could've stayed longer!
The building is beautiful & quirky. Absolutely loved the old books & architecture.
I've read a few reviews saying some places of the building look tired, however I really do think it adds to the character & charm of the place.
The food in the bar was exceptional, so beautifully presented & tasted amazing.
Already looking at booking to come back!

Cons:

Leaving at 7am

Weekend stay.
Pros:

Room was quiet, bathroom was great! Lovely shower.

Cons:

Bed was a small double so not a great nights sleep. Window in bathroom had a broken latch so no way to secure it or the room. After leaving the hotel, I realised that I had accidentally left my phone charger in the room. I was reassured during a follow-up phone call that the charger had been found and would be kept safely in a drawer at reception until it could be collected.
I arranged for a family member to collect it on my behalf, only to be told that the charger had subsequently been “misplaced”. What was particularly disappointing was the complete lack of apology or any apparent attempt to look for it or offer a replacement.
I also emailed the Hotel Manager, Johnathan da Rosa, to raise my concerns, but to date I have received no response. I was even told by the member of staff who failed to assist me that it was “not unusual for guests’ lost property to become misplaced”, which I found extremely concerning.
As an independent hotel, I had expected a more personal and professional level of customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with the impression that customer care and accountability are simply not a priority at this establishment.
