Very clean, the staff was fantastic and the location was great. 1/2 mile from downtown.
The location
Overall lovely place! So happy went and enjoyed the complimentary drink coupons too. Just wish maintenance could’ve fixed the shower and sink drains and outdoor fire pit could light up. Loved the heated pools too/especially the outdoor one!
We were very excited about staying at this property based upon my extensive research with prior Trip Advisor reviews.
The positives :
Check in was very efficient as I did it all on my phone prior to arrival.
Room was not serviced but supplies were efficiently supplied via their card request system.
Very nice quality bath towels & amenities.
Comfortable bedding/pillows
Ample parking spaces
Now, the disappointments.
The reviews really built up the high expectation for the breakfast at Raspberries. We found both of our entrees to be very ordinary with no outstanding taste or presentation. And, there was a family behind us that had two parents that were unable to control the behavior of their five children. Based on this experience the first morning, we had no desire to return.
We rented a corner studio room. It was nicely laid out for extra space. However, the bathroom (toilet and tub area) was extremely small. The color scheme was overall very boring shades of beige. Definately needs some more modern color touches added. The most disappointing aspect of the room was the very poor tv channel selection. Very limited channels with no streaming options at all. Not even your basic Netflix. For the high room rates that we paid, the hotel needs to offer better tv programming.
One additional observation was that their photos online displayed beautiful flowers in the garden out front (where their sign stands) and there were absolutely no flowers planted on the entire property. Overall property upkeep seems to be lacking.
We travel extensively and unfortunately, we did not feel that the services/accommodations offered at this property warranted the price that we paid and therefore would not recommend or return to this property. We actually had checked out one day early and although we knew that we were locked into paying for that last night, we were never asked by the front desk staff as to why we were leaving early or even a simple “How was your stay?” Overall, left us with a disappointing feeling. But, we will return to the area because it is all so beautiful. Love Maines southern coastal region.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and conveniently located… especially using the trolley
Lovely very clean hotel. Restaurant very nice but only serves breakfast. Cute bar but not open so that was a bit of a disappointment. Told they were in the process of hiring a bartender. Come on….it’s the height of the summer vacation.
The televisions are outdated with very limited channels and no apps to sign into your Netflix etc.
Trolly available to go into town which is nice as not to have to drive and find parking.
The entire faculty was immaculate. The staff were friendly, polite, and respectful. Servers in the restaurant, where they served a delicious breakfast, were funny too. The location is quiet and walkable to downtown. Highly recommend.
This hotel is lovely - it has a very beautiful outdoor pool and indoor pool, and lots of pretty areas in the lobby area to hang out in. The room was beautiful and very clean. The only problem we encountered was the fact that this hotel is at least a mile from the "Marginal Walk", which was what we came to Ogunquit to experience. Ogunquit is very busy this time of year, so parking is a big problem.
Good breakfast...but free coffee for breakfast would be nice
chair ripped and stained, sink handle leaked and door left opened in room after prompt removal of chair.Grounds lacking color and maintenance.
We had a great time at Georges Grant Hotel. The rooms were wonderful and the staff was very attentive.
Unfortunately, I left a ring 💍 on the table in our room. After checking out, I got to my car and realized I wasn’t wearing it. Immediately went back to the room no more than 10 minutes later but it was already gone.
I know it was my fault for forgetting it, but I couldn’t believe it disappeared so quickly. It’s disappointing to realize that honestly can be so hard to find.
The moral of the story:always double check your room before you leave. Don’t assume that anything left behind will still be there when you return. To bad it ruined the great time I had there.
Friday night stay with Bestie.
We ended up there earlier than expected, and the young man from Jamaica was very accommodating and actually got us a room that was already done.
The bed was very comfortable. I wish I had those pillows at my house!
The whole hotel is very clean!
I just realized that we wanted to book rooms for a whole weekend next year same timeframe and they had a special discount at the front desk and I forgot! That is a bummer-
I’ll definitely be back
The room was large and comfortable. The extra sink outside the bathroom was convenient. We enjoyed the ice machine, water filling station, and hot beverages. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice, nicer than the outdoor pool. Guest laundry was appreciated. Great location not far from the beach and town but not so close as to be loud or congested.
Fantastic place to stay in Ogunquit. 15 minute walk from the beach so perfect location. It’s nice and quiet atmosphere for when you are unwinding after a day in the sun. Great value for how clean and spacious the rooms are. The service is great and everyone is especially helpful. I had the pleasure of being helped by Everton and he was fantastic. I have been coming here for 20 years and I wouldn’t dare stay anywhere else in Ogunquit
A wonderful value for your experience. We were in a beautiful room with thoughtful touches. We were walking distance from restaurants and shopping. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I will definitely try to stay here on return trips and will recommend the hotel to friends and family.
Breakfast was great. Pools were great for the grandkids.
We have stayed at GG many times and have been very happy. We paid $20 extra for early check-in in our room was not ready on time. They did refund us the $20 because of that. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet . We will definitely return again.
Check in was easy. The location was great. You could walk to area restaurants and shops. Raspberries Restaurant's breakfast was great.
