Celebrating 24 Hour Counter Service at the Rydges
Pros:

Family transiting through Mackay from Cairns and onwards to Brisbane, first time road trip along the Pacific Highway A1 with no hotel bookings. Arrived in Mackay at 9:45pm, called up Rydges for availability (Thank God for 24 hr counter service), was welcomed. Turned up at the hotel, Ronald fixed everything for us with no hassles, we got a family room at a discount. After a 12 hour drive, honestly, that was a God send. Spacious room, can sleep 4. Clean rooms, perfect for a family. Really appreciated the check in experience and accommodation because of our last minute booking. Thank you Rydges Mackay and especially Ronald for making it an easy transition. Will come again with my family.

Pros:

Location to other restaurants was good

Cons:

Walked in to a discussion between other guests and the reception staff indicating the door between two rooms had been left insecure.
Then was given a room that we entered and someone else’s belongings were in the room.
The common areas were dirty and damaged.
There was hair left ip the shower walls. Horrible

Cons:

Very noisy neighbours, partying all night until 0130hrs and up again playing music at 0630hrs. Swearing and my 11 year old child could hear all that.
I booked for a twin bed but there was a double bed instead
I asked the manager to contact me to discuss my concerns but l haven't heard from anyone.
Paying so much money not receiving a good service is daylight robbery

First Class Service & Accommodation in the heart of the Mackay CBD
Pros:

The Rydges Mackay Suites is my preferred hotel on business and personal trips. The service is excellent and the best in town.

The hospitality, care, consideration and attention to detail is second to none.

Armie the Hotel Manager is amazing and runs a professional and caring hotel which has a strong and dedicated focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.

The rooms are always clean, well presented and any request even last minute are promptly attended to. It’s great also having access to the restaurant Moss on Wood.

Armie and the Team understand the importance of customer retention and ensuring travellers return.

5 Star Quality, Service and Hospitality.
