Excellent little motel in short walk to Mackinac Island F
Pros:

Wonderful little older motel, short walk to Mackinac Island ferry terminal. Staff was very helpful; room was clean, comfortable and everything worked as it should.

Cons:

TV did not get normal channels -- ABC, CBS, NBC.

Two nights, no real service to the room, friendly staff
Pros:

The lady running the check-in was extremely friendly. Very nice lady.

Cons:

Bad musty odor in the room. had to ask to get clean towels and any sort of service to the room.

Surprisingly nice!
Pros:

Neat and clean and actually looked like photo. Comfortable beds and very clean! Staff was very friendly.

Cons:

Outside looks older and not as nice as inside. Lake view but over parking lot.

Get what you pay for
Pros:

For price, cleanliness and location it was great. The man who checked us in was very nice and helpful.

Cons:

We would have liked a small table with a chair or at least another night stand. There was no where to hang our jackets/clothes up, luggage had to sit on the bed or floor. The bathroom sink and shower had slow drainage. Outlets were not easily accessible for cpap use.

Location was not on water and rooms were undertaking updates.
Pros:

There was no breakfast. Just coffee and I believe donuts, didn't check it out.

Cons:

The dresser in room had no handles on the drawers and had to open bottom one in order to open middle one and then the same for the top one. There was no place to hang up any clothes, and few electrical outlets to plug in hair dryer, etc.
Beach side view was of the water across Sheppler's parking lot, not even on a beach front.
