it was truly the best experience ever. i wish i could put the perfect words to it. the staff that helped us with each request was more than happy to do so, and we always had a great conversation with it. i am so grateful to have spent our honeymoon here.
Lovely property with wildlife, awesome service and the natural springs on property with waiter service was the icing on the cake. Will absolutely be back.
This was our second visit to Costa Rica. La Fortuna is incredibly beautiful! We stayed at Tabacon, which I highly recommend. The grounds are lush and lovely. We spent a great deal of time at their hot springs! The rooms were fantastic and well equipped. Really liked the stone flooring in the shower and the view we had of the volcano!
Many of us enjoyed couples massages in private outdoor open air settings. Fabulous! We also took part in a cooking class, so much fun! One of our excursions was white water rafting, where we had the best time. I highly recommend this activity. Another group went waterfall repelling and had the best time!
We will definitely visit La Fortuna again.

We enjoyed getting to know the magical ecosystem of the rain forest in the Arenal Region. Nayara Springs was part of the ecosystem. They showed their respect for nature. Everyone was warm and friendly and made our stay so comfortable. Their nature guides were simply the best. We just fell in love with this place. I would highly recommend a visit.
I've been to Costa Rica many times and the service has always been exceptional everywhere, as Ticos are genuinely kind people, but the service at Nayara Springs was exceptional. From the intimate check in process that makes you feel like you are the only person checking in that day, to the designated concierge that we could text at anytime to make reservations and schedule activities, the personalized service was spot on. It was a relief that the restaurants on site were very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions.
Spectacular! I am so happy that I got to stay here. What a location. What a backdrop. The staff is very engaging and friendly.
So many animals right there on property period from sloths to birds. Close to the hanging bridges only about 15 minutes from Fortuna.
The villa was very spacious and it was very nice to have a private pool/spa. The food was delicious.
I would highly recommend this property from everything from location to luxury and service.
This place was amazing. It was luxury in a jungle. We did 4 nights in Nayara Springs, but did our best to enjoy the property has a whole. The staff were so attentive to detail and remembered important things about us. For example, I have a pineapple allergy and the restaurant we had our breakfast at remembered every morning, even offering to prepare green juice specifically for me without pineapple if I wanted it for the days we were there. They also referenced the allergy at every restaurant we ate all, all of which were really good. Before booking, we couldn't find much information about the hot springs on the property and had been thinking about getting day passes to Tabacon, and were really glad we didn't. There are 5 hot springs in the tented camps section of the resort. They are not done up as much as the ones at Tabacon, but they are beautifully maintained, spacious, and surrounded by the jungle. PLUS you have your own plunge pool in your villa, which is so perfect. We also enjoyed a couples' spa treatment while we were there, and my husband liked it so much he went back for an additional treatment the next day. The front desk was so patient with all my questions and booked us an amazing night walk tour. On our last morning, the sky opened up and we had an amazing view of the volcano from our patio and breakfast. Also as we were leaving, our rental car battery died. The valet service and the mechanic worked with my husband to help us fix the car. Just top notch service!
Très confortable et service impeccable. Bonne diversité de restaurants.
My wife and I stayed at Nayara Springs. This property (Including Gardens and Tented Camp) is by far the best resort we have ever stayed at. The entire staff from our personal host, servers, housekeeping staff, bartenders, golf cart drivers are there for 24/7, and make everything happen so nicely. We stayed at Nayara Springs for 7 nights, and I'm so glad that we did. It gave us enough days/nights to do a few excursions offsite as well as enjoy every restaurant, bar, and pool on the Nayara property. For excursions in La Fortuna, I highly recommend the Mistico Hanging Bridges tour booked through Nayara. Also, the Coffee and Chocolate tour at Don Juan. All of the restaurants on the Nayara Properties are exceptional. Our favorites included the unique dining experience at Amor Loco (adults only), Mis Amores (adults only), Ayla (in Tented Camp), Asia Luna (in Gardens), and La Tarazza (in Gardens). I highly recommend the rum tasting, mixology, and cooking experiences hosted on site by the best staff. Also, we had the best time at Nostalgia Wine Bar (in Gardens) and Henry's Bar (reception area of Tented Camp). Last but not least, a very special thanks to our personal host, "Tati", Brian/Luis/Yarley at the Cielto Lindo pool bar, Harley/Julio at Nostalgia wine bar, Joshua and Chef Kenneth for our Cooking class, and Jose for our Rum Tasting and Mixology classes. Also, see Jose at Henry's Bar for the best drinks and hospitality.
What a great experience! Went for my wife’s birthday and she was treated like a queen at every bar and restaurant we went to. Our villa was beautiful with our own private pool (mineral water from the volcano), dual indoor and outdoor showers and fresh fruit every day. We loved the ‘Romantic Dinner’ for her birthday, with our own private server and chef, and enjoyed a 6 course dinner with a special wine paring with each course. You can tell that everyone working there, from the landscapers to the drivers to the servers to the housekeepers love their jobs. We’ll definitely be back soon!
A few girlfriends of mine and I traveled to Arenal for a girl's getaway. We stayed at Nayara Sorings and was blown away. We booked our transport through the hotel and also booked a private tour with a guide. From start to finish the hotel and staff were amazing. The room was fantastic and beautiful. The plunge pool warmed by the volcanic waters made morning plunges so special. There is nothing bad I could say about the facilities or the staff. We used the spa and the rooms had the back drop of the rainforest. You are transported to a tranquil space and every minute felt like a ln hour. I highly recommend and can't wait to return.
Costa Rica is an incredibly beautiful country. And Nayara Springs was the highlight of the trip. The resort is beautiful, the people are amazing. The rooms were better than we even imagined. The Hot Springs were wonderful and everything we did there was top-notch. And was all due to the wonderful staff that takes care of your every need from checking in to checking out, you never want for anything. 24/7 they are ready and willing to do whatever to make you happy. Don’t let the Price scare you away because it’s worth every penny. When you leave you feel it was a bargain. The location is so close to some amazing sites, including the volcano, the hanging bridges, rivers, and lakes.
Don’t miss this piece of paradise. We hope to go back someday soon.
My husband and I went for our honeymoon. We are frequent travelers and confidently can say that we had the most magical time at Nayara Springs. The hotel is far from the international airport but once you arrive we will understand how the rainforest complements the relaxing ambiance of this place. The hot springs and the rooms/villa (with your own heated pool) were amazing. In addition, the food was a culinary experience with every bite from breakfast to dinner and even coffee, was all delicious! Lastly but more importantly, the service 20/10, from the moment you check in they make you feel especial, everyone is so pleasant and personable!
Ah there is plenty of wildlife within the resorts and it is very close to major tourist landmarks in La Fortuna!
Definitely worth the price
This was one of the most wonderful resorts we have ever visited. From the stunning property, which exceeded all of our expectations, to the incredible accommodations, staff, and service, every aspect of our stay was exceptional. The attention to detail was not only impeccable but evident in everything they do.
If you're visiting La Fortuna (Arenal), this is THE resort to experience. Don't miss the opportunity to stay here, our visit was truly unforgettable and will remain a memory for years to come.
Our stay at Nayara Springs was absolutely amazing and exceeded every expectation we had.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we were somewhere special. We checked in at the beautiful lobby and were greeted with a welcome drink and cool towel, which was much appreciated after traveling. Tatiana was so helpful and nice and explained everything about the resort, answered our questions, and recommended several restaurants for dinner.
Our villa (V24) was incredible and honestly one of the nicest rooms we've ever stayed in. It was huge for two people, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. The private natural hot spring pool was one of our favorite features. It's fed directly from the area's natural hot springs rather than having chemicals, and we were told it is cleaned and emptied between guests. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the chandelier above it was such a beautiful touch. The bathroom was equally impressive. While the indoor shower was great, the outdoor shower is where it's at. Showering beneath the rainforest canopy was such a unique experience and something we'll never forget.
Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay. Our room was serviced daily and turned down each evening while we were at dinner. The housekeeping and minibar teams were always accommodating whenever we needed anything.
The property is connected to Nayara Gardens and Nayara Tented Camp, which gives guests access to multiple pools, restaurants, and amenities. We mostly walked between the properties unless it was raining. Golf carts are always available and just a phone call away, but we enjoyed walking because there was always a chance of spotting wildlife around the next corner. The walk can be steep and hilly in places, but the scenery makes it worthwhile.
The adults-only pools at Nayara Springs were beautiful and relaxing. One is a traditional pool, while the other features a swim-up bar and tables built directly into the pool. We had lunch there and enjoyed what was probably the best ceviche we've ever had. We also spent time at the Nayara Tented Camp pool and hot springs, which offered fantastic views of Arenal Volcano. Don't miss out on the daily happy hours at the hot springs bar and pool bars!
Every meal we had was fantastic. We enjoyed dinner at Ayla, which served excellent Mediterranean cuisine, and La Terraza, which offered classic Latin American dishes. The highlight of our dining experience was Amor Loco. The multi-course tasting menu felt like something you would find at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Every course was beautifully presented, delicious, and inspired by Costa Rica's history, ingredients, and flavors.
We also spent some time in the gym and thought it was such a cool experience to work out while looking out into the rainforest. The gym had everything we needed, including cardio equipment, free weights, a bench press, and a cable machine that allows for a wide variety of exercises. The resort also offered yoga classes, but we have to admit we were a little too busy spotting sloths and exploring the property to make it to one.
Another thing that stood out during our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Whether it was a waiter, bartender, housekeeper, golf cart driver, maintenance worker, groundskeeper, spa employee, or front desk staff member, everyone always greeted us with a smile and a warm "good morning" or "hello." It never felt forced and it was clear that hospitality is part of the culture at the resort. Every employee we interacted with was kind, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the wildlife. We did both the morning and evening wildlife tours and saw tons of different birds, including several toucans. The guides were able to find multiple sloths on each tour. Sloths can be surprisingly difficult to spot on your own, so having a guide was definitely worth it. The guides carried spotting scopes, which allowed us to get an up-close look at animals that would have otherwise just looked like a small shape high in a tree. They were also happy to help guests line up their phones with the scope to take photos and videos, which helped us get some incredible pictures. Both guides were knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the animals, their habits, and the history of the resort.
One thing that really stood out was the golf cart drivers. Every driver we encountered was friendly and genuinely seemed excited to help guests find wildlife. If we asked whether anyone had seen a sloth, the response was usually, "Hop on!" Somehow they always managed to find one for us. One driver even took us to the frog pond before dinner and showed us several different species of frogs.
My husband and I also spent a lot of time walking the property and were able to find a few sloths on our own. One sloth regularly hangs out near the spa, and we were lucky enough to see her climb down from a tree, which we were told is pretty rare. It was amazing to witness and made for some incredible photos.
We decided not to do any excursions while we were there and instead just enjoyed the resort. Our days were spent waking up early to look for wildlife, relaxing by the pool, soaking in our private hot spring pool, and listening to the sounds of the rainforest. One of our favorite parts of the stay was simply being immersed in nature; we woke up each morning to birds singing and the distant calls of howler monkeys and fell asleep each night to the sound of frogs chirping. It ended up being exactly the type of vacation we needed.
We visited during the start of the rainy season, so clouds often drifted in and out around Arenal Volcano and we didn't always get a clear view of the summit. We still had some beautiful volcano views, especially when the weather cooperated. Rain jackets are definitely worth packing, as afternoon showers can pop up quickly. One rainy afternoon ended up being one of our favorites, we spent it relaxing in the hot springs and listening to the sounds of the rainforest.
We only stayed three nights before heading to the coast, but it was one of the most memorable places we've ever stayed. Between the beautiful accommodations, incredible food, amazing staff, abundant wildlife, and the peaceful atmosphere, Nayara Springs truly lived up to the hype. We would absolutely stay here again and can't wait to return!
The most amazing holiday I have had in a while, thanks to Nayara Springs hospitality. It was as if we were royalty and the service by the staff was commendable and appreciated. They have an incredible place where you can relax and enjoy nature at its best. A whole bunch of activities are available for the guests to enjoy and they have the most wonderful gifts/souvenir shop that you can browse through for gifts to take.
Jasmine who was our host was most helpful to settle us down with all the information we needed for the best use of the property. The hot springs were out of this world with natural beauty all around us. They had 3-4 restaurants and the food was to die for, Cocktails were a masterpiece in creativity. On the whole a most relaxing and luxurious holiday for a long time to remember. Great job guys at Nayara, keep up with your efforts and hospitality ethics to ensure the reputation of your hotel is maintained.👏🏻👍🏻

I have been to Nayara a few times and I have experienced all 3 resorts in Costa Rica, and once again this trip was incredible.
From the friendly staff whose level of professionalism is unmatched to the delicious food and cocktails to the stunning environment.
The rooms are magnificent and the surroundings are breathtaking.
The attention to detail provided by Nayara in term of interior design and restaurant/common area design is on another level.
I hope I'll be able to visit this property again soon, as it is always such a treat.
Thank you Nayara Team!
We were skeptical of a perfect 5.0 rating on TripAdvisor, but after spending 4 nights at Nayara Springs we completely understand why it is so highly regarded. From the front desk staff to the golf cart drivers, restaurant staff to housekeeping crew, everyone was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable throughout our whole stay. The team greeted us by name each time we entered the lobby and knew our full itinerary to anticipate our needs. For each excursion (we did white water rafting, ziplining, rainforest night walk, and coffee/chocolate farm tour), our shuttle had already arrived or was arriving at the moment we stepped into the lobby. An example of the the exceptional customer service offered by Nayara Springs is this: we stayed during the offseason, so several villas were being renovated. One morning we were woken up by construction noises between 6-7am. We called the front desk to notify them of the disturbance and, the following morning, construction did not begin until 9am. The front desk manager even called our room to ask if the timing worked better for us. Incredible! You can't ask for better service than that.
As far as food goes, we ate at Amor Loco, Nostalgia Wine Bar (great wine pairing experience), and La Terraza during our stay, each of which was spectacular in its own right. Be sure to request a golf cart as the campus is very spread out and restaurants may be far from your room.
We were also lucky with wildlife sightings during our stay - we saw a mom and baby sloth from our villa, and saw numerous other lizards, frogs, birds, and other animals throughout our time exploring the property.
Overall, we can't wait to go back to Nayara and will be recommending to friends and family. Special shoutout to Tony and Noel for their help in making our stay special.
