The property was very clean and beautifully decorated. The aesthetic was wonderful and eclectic.
The staff was very hospitable and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed. The team at this hotel clearly has set a high standard for their customer service, and every employee there was absolutely professional. They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. The rooms we booked were great; the beds and furniture were all very comfortable, bathrooms and rooms were clean. We stayed in a suite room that was more spacious than the pictures showed. We were very impressed with the hotel.

My room wasn't cleaned the second night we stayed, ie.... our beds were not made and the towels weren't changed.

Can't think of anything, we really enjoyed staying at this hotel.
We had a great time from start to finish. A warm welcome at the front desk, fantastic breakfast at The Commoner, clean room, coffee in the lounge in the morning and happy hour at 5:00. Be sure you try the crispy potatoes!
This hotel had very dark hallways,’The room smelled like cigarette smoke, even though it was supposedly non -smoking. I didn’t care for the overly ornate multiple pillows on the beds/fussy decor.
We had a terrific stay at Hotel Monaco. The staff were kind and helpful at every turn. The building is well-designed and welcoming. The "living room" provides a great gathering space missing in some hotels. Maybe best: the construction and blackout curtains create a terrific sleep environment --so are to find on the road!

We stayed here for a special celebration, and the hotel staff made our experience even more memorable. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the effort the team made to make our stay feel special. The hotel was beautiful, the room was comfortable, and the service was outstanding. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Our experience with Kimpton hotels has been positive so far, and there was a lot that we liked about the hotel itself.
Our room was a frustration for me. The layout of the room we stayed in was such that the air conditioning vent blows out over one side of the bed. We tried turning down the AC, we turned it off and both were not optimal.
I would try to stay here again, but would want to see the room first to make certain the position of the AC vent did not interfere with a good night's sleep.
The hotel happy hour was very well done, and the restaurant in the basement floor was nice (separate review).

Very nice hotel. Bar Restaurant The. Commoner is very hip and high quality.
Bathtub in Room 526 had a ring. Maybe clean for tub use; don’t assume everyone takes a shower.
