Good place to stay for the night. Would book again.
Pros:

Staff is welcoming, speaks decent english and helped to carry my bag to the room (there is no elevator). Room was spacious enough to place my stuff around. The bed and pillow were soft and comfy. Bathroom is on the smaller side, but very clean and hot water is always available. There were 2 sliding windows, both can be fully opened, one had an insect net installed, but don't expect a view. Both windows are equipped with thick curtains that can effectively darken the room. My non-smoking room was next to the dedicated smokers room but i didn't notice any bad smells in my room, so it works well. The location is decent, there are no loud street noises, a Lawson is right on the other side of the street and the station is a short 10min walk away.

Short stay
Pros:

The room is big for Tokyo standard. Nice room and pillow. Very helpful that you store your luggage after check out.

Cons:

A bit further from Ikebukuro train station with luggage. No lift.

Pros:

今回で3回目の利用です
いつも感じ良くチェックイン前にスーツケース
を部屋に運んで置いて下さいます
お掃除も行き届いて清潔感があります
買い物も便利で自宅のように
過ごせるのでお気に入りのホテルです

Cons:

建物は年季が入ってるので入口が暗いです
フロントもご主人様が居ないときがありますが
用事があれば電話する感じです
