To be fair, we stayed at two hotels during our first trip to Panama; this was the second hotel, and the first hotel was a five-star. So our first impressions were likely based on the need to adjust our expectations. The location was awesome in terms of access to the metro and short Uber trips to restaurants and the mall. We used the first leg of our trip for tourist activity and this leg of the trip to get a feel for living in Panama. The one-bedroom king suite was spacious and contained a ton of storage. It was perfect for our family (parents and 18-yr-old) in terms of the pull-out couch and extra bathroom. The room cost less with the $100 resort credit than without it, so we booked it. I'm not sure I would select that option if I had to pay more. Your choices are limited to two places, although we ended up "spending" the credits easily each day, and it never felt like we tried hard. My primary issues were the wear and tear in the room and the cleanliness. This was a notch below what I'm accustomed to at a Marriott in the US. Maybe more like an Embassy Suites, an old one, not a brand new one. I say that for reference if it helps someone, not because I expect a different country to operate like my own. I probably will try a different hotel for my next visit, but I was not unhappy with my stay. And I think this could work well for others. For example, if my daughter and her friends went for a solo trip, this would work well for their young-adult budget. Zero safety concerns and friendly staff.

Overall, the hotel is clean. One area that require a deep cleaning is the shower in the room. It is huge but there are some areas/corners that have buildup. The view of the city is beautiful.

Staff - front desk provided great customer service. Security, valet, and other staff was polite, answered questions, and willing to help.

Concierge - Carolina and Ivan. Absolutely outstanding service!!! They were available to answer questions; pull up the map and show locations; make recommendations for dinner and activities. They went above and beyond by calling a bike shop to ensure they had rental bikes as we were taking an uber to the shop. There was a genuine interest in learning about our country. They even taught how us to pronounce certain words (because I desired to work on my Spanish). Such an outstanding team. I will return again and this team would be one of the reasons.

My friends and I booked appointments for a group of six through WhatsApp for Saturday, July 11th — one of the few spas in the area that could actually accommodate a group our size, which is why we chose it. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations.
When we arrived, we were told we should have checked in 30 minutes early — a policy that was never mentioned anywhere in our booking confirmation or in any of the WhatsApp communication with the person who helped us schedule. The front desk clerk was difficult to understand (she spoke very low and muffled, and this is coming from someone fluent in both Spanish and English), and when I mentioned we hadn't been informed about the 30-minute window, instead of acknowledging the issue, she scrolled back through our WhatsApp messages to scrutinize them rather than simply welcoming us in.
My friend and I were placed in a room together for our services, but the hotel happened to be hosting a pool party with a group of kids right below us, so the first several minutes of my service were filled with screaming and noise. The room was also extremely bright, making it hard to relax. I mentioned this to my therapist, and she kindly moved me to a quieter room away from the pool area — I really appreciated her effort to salvage the experience.
Beyond that, the facility itself didn't feel elevated. The bathroom was in rough shape, and there were no slippers provided, so we were walking barefoot on floors I have no idea how recently were cleaned.
The service itself was okay, and my therapist genuinely tried to make the best of it, but the overall experience fell far short of what I was expecting from a spa visit — especially at this price point. I won't be returning, and it's made me hesitant to book at other Marriott spa properties going forward.

Airline booked us here because on a delay, when get got here with a big group from the airports over 15 people including children. The front desk assigned us to one person to check as all in, all this while other from desk members were not helping anyone else. Kept looking and the group and walking away. It was a terrible experience from the beginning very rude front desk staff not accommodating all not to mention it was 1 am and the lobby was no busy at all.

I had a wonderful stay at Sortis Hotel, and one of the highlights was the exceptional service provided by Ivan Szumickyj in the Concierge Department. From the moment I arrived, Ivan was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help. He gave excellent recommendations, assisted with every request promptly, and made me feel truly welcomed.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with comfortable rooms, great restaurants, and an excellent location. What really made this stay memorable, though, was the outstanding customer service. Ivan went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, and his professionalism and kindness did not go unnoticed.

I highly recommend Sortis Hotel and would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Ivan, for making my visit to Panama such a great experience!

Peaceful place, walk in accepted, efficient masseuse

Great place to stay! Convenient. Large and CLEAN rooms. Every staff member I interacted with in any way was kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.
